So if your competing this week and having a bit of trouble finding the lovely B1G League Studio here are some directions to help your journey easier.
So the studio address is;
RMIT University
Studio A
Building 12
Level 2
Swanston St, Melbourne CBD
This address is deceivingly difficult to find as, Level 2 is actually ground level. Its not really building 12, its actually between building 12 & 10.
So the best way is to walk up Swanston st from Melbourne central on the RMIT side. Keep looking until you see level 12 or 10 entry, go down the stairs and look for the signs that say TV studio.
Or buzz your tournament organizer on his mobile and get him to meet you on the corner of Swanston & Franklin St.
See you all this week,
Woodz
Introduction
Razer is a high-end computer gaming peripherals company that has been supplying gamers all over the globe with peripherals ranging from high performance mice, sleek & smooth mouse pads, crisp sounding audio devices and 'Hyperesponse' keyboards.
In depth look
At first glance, the Salmosa looks rather basic - no fancy LED's or extra side buttons, so what is it about the Salmosa that makes it so special? Well this time round Razer has focused on a particular type of gamers, the 'fingertip grip' users. The Salmosa is an ambidextrous mouse built from the ground up to be light and of a compact form, specifically meeting the needs of Finger-tip users.
Starting off at the top of the Salmosa we can see it is black in color, and divided into 3 parts; the two ultra-large non-slip buttons take up most of the mouse, and the back piece which is elevated, giving more comfort to your palm. The back piece also holds a large Razer logo which does not glow.
Switching over to the sides of the Salmosa, we can see Razer has not supplied us with any side buttons, the reason for this being that the Salmosa has such a small form. Incorporating side buttons into the Salmosa would either force the mouse to be bigger than originally designed or cause discomfort for 'fingertip grip' users
Under the Salmosa you'll find 3 Teflon feet at the corners of the mouse, the 1800DPI 3G sensor in the middle, and two switches to adjust your DPI and polling rate accordingly, at either side of the sensor.
The switch on the left enables us to change DPI from 800DPI to 1800DPI; the switch on the left enables you to switch the polling rate between 125hz, 500hz and 1000hz.
Unlike other Razer mice, the Salmosa does not come with a gold plated USB connector. This is to save additional costs, making the price of the Salmosa more affordable.
Drivers
As per usual, Razer has provided us with drivers that let us customize the Salmosa to suit our liking.
Once you open the driver you will find it is split into 3 sections. The first being the sensitivity section, which lets you freely adjust the sensitivity and double click speed to your liking. Clicking 'Advanced'under the sensitivity bar will bring up more options, en...
In the previous two interviews in a series of articles about people in the gaming industry we have met an Associate Producer and a Level Artist. This time we will meet Ditte Deenfeldt, Game Designer at Ubisoft Massive.
Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
Sure. I'm a 28-year-old Dane who migrated over the 30 km wide belt from Copenhagen to Malmö to work at Massive. I've played games since I was 11-12 years old and have until very recently mainly played PC-games. I have a fairly diverse background, founded partly in design, partly philosophy and partly in games.
I love all kinds of games, not just computer games. When I was younger I played more tabletop role playing games and board games than computer games, and I still play a lot of board games and have recently started a new role playing group after a long break. Board games often have such a clean and pretty mechanics design compared to anything digital.

Introduction
Razer is a high-end computer gaming peripherals company that has been supplying gamers all over the globe with peripherals ranging from high performance mice, sleek & smooth mouse pads, crisp sounding audio devices and 'Hyperesponse' keyboards.
In this review we will be taking a look at the world renowned Razer 'Deathadder' and what it is that makes it so popular.
In depth look
Since the beginning Razer have been making ambidextrous mice which enable both right and left hand gamers to use it, this changed with the introduction of the Deathadder. The Deathadder is ergonomically designed for the right hand user, thus making it more comfortable for prolonged hours of gaming. The left side of the Deathadder also curves inwards providing somewhere to position your thumb, allowing you to hold the mouse with a tighter grip.
The top of the Deathadder, including the Mouse1 and 2 buttons, is made of one piece and is coated with a non slip rubber finish, ensuring some form of grip even in the sweatiest conditions. The two mouse buttons are also slightly beveled providing more support and comfort for your fingers. The bottom of half of the Deathadder is made of a shiny black plastic.
On the left side of the Deathadder just above where you would place your thumb you will find two large side buttons.
Under the Deathadder, you will find 3 Ultra Teflon feet at the tip of each end providing excellent glide and motion when using it, while additionally making it less likely to wobble. You will also see the '3G' sensor placed at the centre.
The 3G infrared sensor is Razer's new generation of Gaming Grade sensors, which is capable of doing a lot more than the typical red LED design. A higher resolution can be attained - in this case 1800dpi. This was not very common at the time of release. The 3G sensor also enables you to use it at a very fast paced level as the new sensor deals with 'negative acceleration' ensuring even the fastest movements at the lowest DPI setting will be perfectly read.
The Deathadder also comes equipped with a gold plated USB connector, which ensures excellent conductivity and longevity, as opposed to the typical mouse USB connector, which uses nickel that wears away...
