This is an Asia-Pacific tournament, teams from anywhere in the world are encouraged to play in this tournament, but CyberGamer must advise that Asia-Pacific teams will have a time zone preference, unless something else can be arranged between the two teams. We advise you do not partake if you are unable to accommodate to different time zones, as this will waste everyones time and lead to disqualification from the tournament. I'm sure this will not cause many problems for those hardcore teams that really want to win this thing.
Organising times via your match page is the best and the most recommended way of organising times as this reduces the chance of problems occurring.
Admins have the right to disqualify any teams that failed to contact their opposing team or that do not meet the rounds deadline. This in turn, results in a forfeit loss.
Teams have approximately five days (no longer) to decide between each other on what time and date they would be willing to play.
Team captains are required to submit there match ID in the appropriate thread: CyberGamer S2Games HoN Replay Archive:

Welcome to CyberGamer 3.0
The last 9 months have been a hard slog for the hometown heroes Jeremy "Asterix" Klaosen and James "Sn@p" Burroughs with many long nights spent with heads buried in the keyboard spamming out dozens and dozens of lines of code, icons, and buttons. But here we are proudly presenting to you CyberGamer Version 3.0.
The new site has taken a more media rich focus, looking towards presenting more news movies and articles to give you guys more than a competitive gaming system to compete on. As you will notice one of the side bars has gone freeing up more space for bigger forum posts, articles, and media areas. The games systems are now more user friendly with more space and a smarter layout system incorporating a news homepage for each game where you can then bounce off to the forums or the ladders.
Naturally as im sure you will all see we now have an application bar which has replaced the outdated chat, pug, and PM system where you will get your PM inbox and notifications but also be able to join chatrooms and pugs alot easier. Incorporated with that is a new event management system which tournament and lan organizers can use to promote their event or use it as a fully integrated signup payment and booking system for their events.
You will also notice the new website now has an organization system! This allows teams with multiple divisions to create an organization hub that showcases the achievements of all your teams and acts as a management hub for your staff to oversee the team as a whole. You have probably also noticed CyberGamer Premium! The fact sheet can be viewed at and it's a subscriber service that unlocks a swag of new gadgets and features for your team to add value to your experience and also provide essential tools for keeping your team at the top of its game.
With the new system comes PS3 with a fully recruited team who are raring to get going and bring competitive PS3 to CyberGamer, hopefully sharing in the dramatic success the XBOX system have had in building CyberGamer console gaming up to be the biggest console gaming system in Australia.
CyberGamer will be expanding on its network of partner sites with 2010 seeing a number of new and exciting additions to the system but you have to wait for those .... its a secret... :). Its going to be a massive year here on CyberGamer in 2010 and its our pleasure to have you along for the ride. So take a moment to dig around the system and please feel free to submit support tickets for any glitches you fin...

Hi guys,
With 3x32 team brackets due to the time constraints on the tournament we had the obvious dilemma of how to play off the 3 finalists for the 3 individual brackets to find out who is the overall winner.
Luckily i came up with a solution and after making a few discreet contacts i managed to secure some additional prizes. The tournament will remain in 3 brackets but now each bracket will indeed have a single team winning and all members of all three teams who win their respective bracket will be receiving a full copy of PC Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Enjoy

Day two has kicked off with a bang swinging straight straight into the action with the Team Fortress 2 6v6 Competition currently being played out. We are at the Grand Final stage where QT will take on Sequential Gaming for the title of TF2 6v6 champions. Duwom and Speardave are on standby awaiting the kickoff.
And speaking of kickoff, everyones favourite journalist Junglist took a stab at the FIFA 2010 championship. Favouring the team Barcelona, Junglist stormed through the heats with the scores 3-1, 3-2, 6-0. He then met Adrian in the grand final that turned out to be a stellar match. With the scores being tied at overtime, it all came down to the penalty shootout. After a massive tit-for-tat penalty round where Junglist eventually went down to Adrian 4-2, claiming second place.
There is still action aplenty set for day two of Reloaded LAN with competitions set to run into the early morning, including the Halo 3 Xbox 360 finals where Bio Acid will aim assist his way into the shoutcasting chair. As well as the highly anticipated Counter Strike: Source finals series and, in conjunction with Gamestah's live video stream, it is sure to attract an even bigger crowd than the TF2 competition.
Don't forget if you aren't at the event you can catch all the live Video on Demand streaming at Check #Gamestah on Gamesurge for upcoming matches and times.
Weeks before MW2 was launched, Madcatz announced their brand new line of gaming peripherals and on that line was the Modern Warfare 2 Combat Controller. * Ergonomic pistol grips
* Quick-fire Triggers
* Immersive backlit analog stick modules

Turtlebeach's Ear Force X1 headset is extremely popular among Xbox gamers for good reasons. While it may only be a stereo headset as opposed to its big brother in the X41s, you will often hear many users argue that they're indeed all one needs to gain an audio-induced competitive advantage.
Features:
- In-Line Stereo Amplifier
- Bass Boost
- Voice Chat mixed with Stereo Game Sound
- Works with PC or Xbox 360 Games
- USB powered
Description
From this angle we can see the flexible microphone, the large and comfortable ear cups, the headrail, the adjustable slides to suit every head size and the lengthy 16 foot cabling. The microphone has been known to have issues in the past where it just 'randomly' stops working but for the most-part it is a great microphone. The large cabling required to link the headset to your Xbox gives you ample mobility with its extended length. The headphones have two 40mm drivers putting out some rather beastly-good sound.
This is the In-Line Voice Control where you can adjust the volume of your in-game sound as well as mute your own microphone. This control is situated at a comfortable length along the 16 foot cabling, allowing you to simply place it in your lap for ease of access.
Featured below we can see where the Turltebeach X1 headset gets it's Xbox Live Voice Chat capability. Simply plug the Turtlebeach XBL adaptor into the controller where one would normally plug their official Microsoft Microphone into. Once done, you have the ability to alter the sound level of other players voices coming through your headset. Have no fear! The loudest voice volume level is overly sufficient in being audible over loud gameplay.
When using the X1 with your XBOX 360, this RCA splitter cable lets you keep your existing speakers (or TV) plugged in, so you can easily switch between speakers and headphones. Simply plug the red and white audio cables from your Xbox...
Hi guys,
AMD has allowed me to review this CPU for CyberGamer, amidst some starting problems bundled (first motherboard I got from ASUS wouldn't display output) with a busy time schedule and the untimely crash of my Velociraptor, I have finally finished the review to the best of my ability-- by Talnoy's deadline - "by 2010 thanks", (lol)
Before we head in, I'd like to thank AMD:
.amd.com for supporting Cybergamer and providing me the opportunity to do this review, and also ASUS Australia:
.asus.com.au for allowing me to borrow the motherboard for this review.
[DEL]Can someone show me how to throw in tabs to make the review more pleasing to read? :P[/DEL] - Ta Scott
Introduction
Earlier this year, AMD released their Phenom II series to compete against Intel's Core 2 Duos. For gamers, the Phenom II x4 CPUs were the choice for price: performance conscious gamers and enthusiasts for a while. Intel then released their Core i5/i7 Lynnfield processors to reclaim back the price: performance crown.
What does AMD do then? Instead of lowering their Phenom II prices even further to try gain market share, they introduce the AMD Athlon II X4 range of CPUs, following the range of Athlon II X2 range of CPUs released in June this year. The Athlon II X4 range includes the 620 and 630. These quad-core CPUs are aimed towards the mainstream quad-core market, e.g. students, parents, office workers, you get the gist. The Athlon II 620 (Codename: Propus) is a 2.6 GHz CPU, manufactured with the 45nm process seen in most of the latest CPUs, and includes a total of 128k of L1 Cache and 512k L2 Cache in each core.
What about the L3 Cache, some of you may ask? To cut down on costs, AMD have manufactured the Athlon II family without any L3 Cache inbuilt. (Although the early retail units were the Deneb core with the L3 Cache disabled (which you could unlock with the right motherboard)). The release retail price of the X4 620 is the reason why there has been so much excitement over the Athlon II X4 620.
RRPing at USD $99 at release, it is the first quad core to fall below the USD $100 mark. In Australia right now, you can get the 620 for around $115, (correct as of 20th December 2009).
Before we start;
I have tested the CPU with a variety of benchmarks and...

Description:
Viewing the headset itself from the left-hand side we can see the detachable microphone, the large - yet comfortable - ear cups, the adjustable slides to enable a comfortable fit for all users and most obviously the large orange Tritton logo that is back-lit from within.
These are the additional earcup covers and headrail you receive with the AX PROs. You can choose between a soft 'leather' feeling material, or a padded cotton. These can be removed and exchanged rather easily. With the headrail you simply put your thumb(s) where I have in the picture below, push and slide up the headrail then un-clip it. The earcup covers you simply fold around the lip on the earpiece

How did you get started in gaming?
On the PC at around age 10 with quake and shortly after quake 2. Basically my first gaming experience was online, playing quake/quake2 on dial up Internet. Fun Times. I was never interested in single player and that still remains.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]-->
After quake 2 began to get old, although I never stopped playing it, counter strike started to become massive. Personally I hated the game and still had a piece of crap computer so the best option was, Xbox.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]-->
Ok so tell us how the Xbox gaming started?
Christmas 2002 my brother and I got an Xbox + Halo. It wasn't long before my mates and I were having 8 player halo LANs at my place. And then a program called Xbox Connect made it possible to play Halo over the net. It was laggy and dodgy as all hell but my brother and I played it to death.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]-->
Then Halo 2 changed everything; finally there was a solid multiplayer game with a massive audience. Didnt stop playing halo 2 until the halo 3 beta. Basically from the Xbox on wards I never went back to the PC.
<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]-->
How did you get involved with CG?
Getting involved with CG all started from my university studies. I started a degree in Business: Entrepreneurship at RMIT, which focuses on starting your own businesses.

Introduction
Due to popular demand - SteelSeries Ikari [Laser Version] Review.
The Ikari is SteelSeries latest flagship in mice, built from the ground up with input from professional players. SteelSeries have focused on meeting the two main needs of these professional players - which are precision, and comfort. SteelSeries have also mentioned that unlike some other mice on the market, the Ikari features no gimmicky lights or functions which may distract during gaming.
In depth look
Starting at the top, we can see the Ikari is made of two pieces, the large top piece which includes the mouse 1 and 2 buttons, and the palm rest which has the SteelSeries logo. Unlike some other mice such as the Deathadder and the Salmosa (which have an elevated back for the palm to rest on), we can see the Ikaris back is rather low, rendering use of the claw-grip quite difficult. The reason for this is that SteelSeries built this mouse specifically for palm-grip users, and to support this idea we see the base of the Ikari is elongated on both sides of the mouse for your thumb and little finger to rest on. This ensures your hands will not be fatigued after prolonged hours of gaming. The top and side areas of the Ikari are also coated with rubber for optimum grip for when hands get a bit sweaty.
Moving around to the front, we can see the mouse 1 and 2 buttons with the scroll wheel in between, and youll also notice SteelSeries have included a DPI switch under the scroll wheel for when you want to change your DPI setting on-the-fly.
On the left side of the mouse, SteelSeries have provided two side buttons and also an LED indicator as to whether you are using High or Low DPI.

The Antec 900 case was asensation around the globe, winning numerous awards and became the standard for high-performance gaming cases. Does the Antec 1200 promise to bring anything different to the table, or will it be a feeble marketing attempt?
In depth look
Antec assures you that your product will arrive snug and unharmed. The 1200 comes packaged in a large plastic cover and sandwiched between two custom fitted foam paddings.
The 1200 gamingcase lookslike a beast, itsporst a standard black theme andis made from steelwith a few plastic parts. As you can see there is plent of ventalation from the front and side panel which adds excellent air circulation properties.
There are a total of 12 drive bays, these are broken up into 3 optical drives and 9 internal storage drive bays. There are 3 hard drive cages which house 3 hard drives each, to give a total of 9 possible hard disk drives. Each cage can be repositioned and removed.
Today on taking it to the streets I requested a challenge from the community, who did they want to see an interview from? Not to leave our Call of Duty guys out I went with the request for an interview with Pandemic, when I managed to track the team down I made my first port of call Joe “Nabore” Amorosa, Pandemics ingame leader for the Call of Duty 4 team. Joe “Nabore” Amorosa is a 23 year old whos hometown is Staten Island New York and he has been with Team Pandemic since September 2006.
Joe, we see that you are the in-game leader for the Pandemic Call of Duty4 team, what does your role involve?
Being the in-game leader is harder than most people think. As the caller you pretty much have to understand the way you are winning or losing rounds and what is going on outside of your view. You have to try and play cat and mouse with the other team, while trying to keep your own team motivated. A key part of this role is respect. Its like a catcher in baseball, if the pitcher doesnt agree with the pitch the catcher called, he wont throw it with conviction. The same applies to Call of Duty. Youre team needs to be able to trust your calls and judgment in order to succeed.
Now the Australian community is very much scattered over the entire Call of Duty series with a lot of the pro teams not really enthused about continuing with Call of Duty 4 and although playing World at War they dont seem to enjoy it much. What is the sentiment to these 2 titles in the Northern American scene?
After 2 weeks of playing World at War, the community decided that it was unplayable for a bunch of reasons and moved back to CoD4: Modern Warfare. We didnt have any problems over here with going back in titles because CoD4 was still the better game of the series and had the best pro-mods at the time.
<em>Ryan is 21, live's in the ACT, and recently graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Commerce. Now he is settling into working full time, but has been apart of the Xbox scene since the beginning and competed in our best competitions. Ryan has also had a lot to do behind the scenes and is developing and promoting the community all the time. He is one of our Xbox moderators and is a ladder Admin for GRID also.</em>
Tell us about your gaming history?
I have a pretty shoddy console history actually. I started with a Sega Mega Drive (16 bit!) for Christmas when I was about six, and could never beat the second level on Sonic 2 (the one with the water rising). Didnt really like it after that. After that, I had a big break until I was given a Nintendo 64 (for Christmas again), with Super Mario Kart and Rush, introducing me to racing games. Rush is probably the precursor to the Burnout, and was my favourite game for a long time hidden stunt parks and so on. I had a family computer over the years, but it was always a bit slow, and could never run anything well. Over the ages, games played included Age of Empires, GTA3 series, and the Need for Speed series. From there on, I had a huge break until I bought an Xbox360 two years ago.
So youve been on the box for a while now, how long on live and what games have you played?
On live since launch actually Ive always had gold membership, but wasnt an active member. I played heaps of PGR, but not online. Same with Perfect Dark, all of the Burnout Series, Forza, Need for Speed, and Guitar Hero. I guess Halo 3 was the first game I actually played online got together with a few uni mates (tags Applzor and turbo619pants) and hit up the 2v2 ranked matchmaking. It was also the first FPS Id ever played on the Xbox.
From there, I hit up some parties with uni friends, and we had heaps of fun with Halo. Eventually, we all bought COD and had some awesome LAN sessions with about a million beers, and had some pretty crazy times. 5v5 COD4 LANs are unbeatable so much more intense than youd think and no lag too.
I only started to play online after a few invites from a guy called RyanMc1979, who ended up being Db4D Rhyno (not me!) into Call of Duty online. Over time, Ive made a few friends and had a heap of fun although I think the COD scene is getting a little tired, as I am of CoD4.
<a rel="\"nofollow\"" href="/users/6988/articleimages/538/fnatic_kode.jpg">
Ok to kick this off Patrik tell us a little about the fnatic CS1.6 team. Have you guys been together for a while now or have you rotated a few guys in and out as you have built yourselves up to the team you have now?
As you probably know we did two major changes in 2009, first GeT_RiGhT took over ins position and a few weeks later Gux replaced Archi. It was not a comfortable feeling cutting two friends, but I think both parties agreed on it and everyone is happy today.
Congratulations on another strong performance over in Moscow in the Kode5 global finals, going into the tournament how did you think you would go? Were you confident you got a good group to start in seeing that its a lose your out setup?
I dont think that much going into a tournament, we know what we can do and if we keep our heads calm and just do what we are good at, rounds will start coming in and matches will be won.
Whats next on the schedule for fnatic? Will there be some well earned downtime for the team leading up to WCG 2009 or do you have a busy schedule or any big events youre planning to register for?
Im not sure at the moment, tournaments we havent yet heard about will probably popup and we will attend them. For for the next 2-3 weeks I think we will enjoy some free time and just focusing on real life things.
Leading into tournaments and matches its known by record what maps fnatic are proven to be strong on but as a team which map do you really enjoy playing the most?
I never thought I would say this, but inferno seems to be our strongest map recently. We feel comfortable going into any matchup on this map and even that we fail to do well as CT we know that our T side is extremly strong.
