How To: Create a Team(s)

user

Teams allow you and your friends to compete on a specific ladder/game, against other teams through the set up of official CG matches.Navigate to the appropriate ladder you wish to join via the 'Games' menu in the top navigation bar. Once you have reached your desired ladder, select 'Create Team', found below the ladder's heading.

Step 3
Fill in all the necessary details using the given form.
NOTE: If you already have a team on another ladder and you wish to simply transfer the team across, you can select 'Click here to clone one of your previous teams' which will bring up a selection of all your teams. Click 'CLONE' the team you wish to copy and the system will not only fill in the details, but also automatically invite the members of the team you cloned.

Step 4 (If Necessary)
Your team will now be enrolled on the ladder you chose. If your team requires members to begin competing (ie a ladder that isn't 1v1), you can now invite people to the team by selecting 'Edit Members' which can be found to the top right of the teams roster.
Then simply begin to enter in their CG username, and when it pops up hit enter and the user will be invited. From this area you can also change the ranks of the members of the team.
Captains have full access to the team and its' forum (if applicable). They are responsible for the actions of the team, and include the organisation of matches. Lieutenants can either have no extra access, access to the team information or can challenge other teams (or both). A member has no additional access to the teams administration.

Step 5 (Optional)
You can also edit any details of your team using the various 'Edit' buttons found on the team page. Each one correlates to the area it is found on.

user

The CGPS3 shoutcasting team is proud to present you another shout-cast for the PS3: Modern Warfare 3 Leagues!, The match will be played tonight at 8:00pm on Resistance between the following teams...

Alley | Cartzyy | Inlinear | JuiCy; | n3gpad | slayn3g | Sour | SWFT

vs.

Aimbot | Bundy | Cher Lloyd <3 | Crxssfade | exkal > mutha | MANGLA | muthaphukkah. | Zyzz

To place your tip for the match, please head to the match details:
and place your vote!

Quote from Icy from the league report: "
Beyond vs Parallel Gaming
bD2g - I think Beyond have this match covered. If Cartzy scrims this week and gets to play, that will put the result beyond serious doubt. With Lilypad on scope, and the patience of Sour around the mid/A section, bD should take this match with ease. If Parallel are to win, they should start praying for a miracle now.
Prediction: Skitch:
17 - 7 ( Beyond's way. )
Predicted MVP's: Cartzy (Beyond) // Bundy (Parallel).
Match information: Resistance;

Resistance is a medium sized map located in the streets of Paris, France. The map features urban terrain and has crowded streets along with many buildings that offer for close quarters combat, and some long lines of sight that favor guns with longer range. Decent cover is provided by vehicles scattered around the map as well as the two buildings located in key positions for both sides. The two spawns are on either side of the map, the attacking team spawn at the top of a hill while the defending team spawn at the bottom near the umbrellas. The "B" bomb is located on the long road and is usually the most targeted by the...

CGPS3 Update: Tutorials

user

Over the next few weeks we will be releasing several "How To", or if you'd rather, "Tutorial" threads. Our aim is to help new users understand how the basic features of CyberGamer work so that they can settle comfortably within the community and aren't frightened away by some of the perhaps, confusing, things we have setup. Might also be a refresher to the more experienced CG user. ;)

A new forum section will house these threads and can be found under the normal list of sections within
PS3 Area - Getting Started on CyberGamer PS3:

Our 1st tute will be a revised version of
How To: PUG:

Special thanks to Crxssfade:
and Dylan:
who've helped me create the dozen or so threads we have lined up.
Much Appreciated.

Enjoy.

Many Thanks
PS3 Admin Team.

CGPS3 Improvements.....

user

Hey everyone,
How can we make CGPS3 a better experience for you?
In order to provide for the community, we need your ideas and suggestions to help us make those tough decisions.
Provide us with the good, the bad and damn right awful things that the staff team can work toward improving!

Examples include:
- Increases in the amount of content / game reviews
- Dealing with the influx of scrim threads
- More community events? Admin v Ref exhibition matches?
- More prize money competitions, or just in general more ladders? What ladders?
- One Day Competitions, Pay to Plays, Leagues?
- Including new forum sections to the platform
- Media side of things.....More Shoutcasts? More recorded matches (YouTube content)?
- How To use the various common CyberGamer features?

Please bare in mind money doesn't grow on tress so don't make your requests too farfetched. Anything you feel uncomfortable about posting in here, drop me or another admin a line in a PM and we'll reply as soon as possible.

Also, any disruptive behaviour or abusive stuff in here will most likely see you with a holiday. Play nice :)

Thanks chaps

Naruto SG Ladder "Live"

user

Season one for Naruto SG has commenced. The ladder is now live. Start challenging!Initially, our ladder will be a 1v1 ladder as we believe it will be able to maintain the most interest. However in the future we may be able to expand into little tournaments consisting of 4 to 8 people, depending on interest. For our first season, the ladder will be in 'Fast Mode'.

Quote: "You can challenge teams 50% of your rank above you plus 2 positions.

If you win a defending match you are protected for 24h (no one will be able to challenge you).
If you win a challenging match you are protected for 6h (no one will be able to challenge you).
If you lose a defending match you are vulnerable for 6h (you will be unable to challenge).
If you lose a challenging match you are vulnerable for 24h (you will be unable to challenge).
You cannot play the same team twice in a row.
Time given to accept a match: 2 days
Team members required to challenge: 1
Players are allowed to be in 1 team at a time

This is a FAST ladder, protected/vulnerable times are halved normal ladders."

The ladder can be found in the games menu, or alternatively you can simply visit the following link:

Registration: Saturday 12th May 4:00pm
CGo Live: Sunday 13th May 7pm

Ladder Lock: Wednesday 27th June
CGo Finishes: Tuesday 3rd July 11.59pm

Finals Round 1: 4th - 11th July
Semi Finals: 11th - 18th July
Preliminary Finals: 18th - 25th July
Grand Final: 25th July - 1st August

Rules[hr]
Match length
The match consists of a 'best of 3, best of 3'. This means you will have 3 fights per round. There are 3 rounds (total max of 9 fights per match).

Example:
Round 1 = Player X wins 2 fights, Player Z wins 1 fight. Round 1 goes to Player X.
Round 2 = Player X wins 1 fight, Player Z wins 2 fights. Round 2 goes to Player Z.
Round 3 = Player X wins 2 fights, Player Z wins 1 fight. Round 3 goes to Player X

The match win goes to Player X, scored as 2-1

Map/Level Choice
The Defending team has the choice for the Map/Level for Rounds 1 and 3. The Attacking team has the choice for Round 2. OR do it just randomly and sort it out between yourselves, as it doesn't really matter in the end on the map/level. If you disagree on random use or just can't agree at all between yourselves, use the first-mentioned system.

Characters
You can use any charact...
