Newcastle Basketball Stadium - Entry fee
Written by Downforwardpunch, at Wed, Oct 27th. 11:06pm

Normally there would be a $3 entry fee to cover such a premium venue. We have organized 'no cover charge' for spectators and competitors for this first event. Please come and show your support for this new competition.

Downforwardpunch says:11:12pm 27/10/10:

Hi cybergamer community! I'm trying to build a new competitive gaming option with a main focus on the top fighting games. All events will be at venues, nothing online. Right now I have a detailed plan for next year but obviously have to gauge local and national interest. So here I am spreading the word, asking for feedback on the site and possible direction.

I'm looking for foundation members from all over NSW as I would like to host events pretty much everywhere...ambitious I know, but a leg-up from a community like this would mean all the difference.

Basically I want to offer what I see as a standard format for elimination and double elimination tournaments, keep ticket prices as low as I can while offering a good venue, top equipment to play on and fair prizes, as well as small prize give aways if possible.

My website is so new its still warm www.downforwardpunch.com.au , it has some info but still has a long way to go. I have no big company behind me, just a major love for competition and games and feel that I can fill a small gap in fighting game comps in oz.

I'm extremely interested in opinions from anyone, I'm new here but no need to be gentle =)

Cheers
DFP
