A New Year…. A New Time… A New Adventure


To celebrate the new year, our new store and new location GameOn would like to announce its’ first ever lan for the year and first ever lan of its’ kind, with MASSIVE prizes lined up.

...To start off with a bang GameOn would like to announce its’ proud partner RedBull with special guest Bio “BooYah” Acid from GameStah who will be streaming the event online; we would like to announce the game of choice for its’ first lan will be:


Call Of Duty Black Ops 4v4 Tournament
with a MASSIVE prize of $800 cold hard cash to the winning team.


Using rule sets used by Australian gamers, made by gamers it allows both ametuer and pros to pick up a controller, play, be challenged and have fun. So grab yourself a posse, and strap on your helmets for your chance to win $800!



The Rundown:

When: Saturday and Sunday, 12th and 13th March 2010
Where: Game On Interactive, Bexley, Sydney (Big blue building on the corner of the intersection)
Entry Cost: $40 per person for two days of unlimited gaming till close
Prizes: First Prize - Winning team shares $800, other prizes TBA

Format: Call Of Duty Black Ops 4v4 - Rule set TBA

Equipment: All equipment (TVs, Xbox 360s and controllers) is provided although players are required to bring a copy of Call Of Duty Black Ops in order to play as we only have 3 copies to lend. Feel free to bring your own controllers, just make sure everything is clearly marked as being your property as GameOn will not take accountability for any lost items.

It is advised that you bring a headset as things do get loud and sound from the monitors become hard to hear. The tournament will be played over Xbox Live so it is advised that you bring your hard drive with you so you can play on your own account as you probably want to have your profile levelled up otherwise you can use the default ones. Note: For those that don’t know you can use a normal USB stick as a hard drive for your xbox so you can put your profile on that or you can just download it.

To be interstate and travel friendly, GameOn is offering FREE accommodation for players that need somewhere to stay the night on Friday and Saturday. First preference is to interstate players and those that live further away than the rest. Note that you will have to bring your own pillow, sleeping bag etc. Xboxs and PCs will be readily available to use during the night. Food and drinks will be available to purchase and there is a toilet to share within the building.



Please discuss with your team mates FIRST before registering. Please do not register if you are unsure whether your team is available to attend as spots are limited and you run the risk of being banned for future events.

Doors open at 10am for registration, with the tournament starting at 11am on the dot so if your team is not there and ready to play at 11am you will forfeit the first map. The tournament on Saturday will finish around 8pm. Those attending who don't make the finals can play till close at no extra cost for the entire weekend. So stick around for some big team COD action, or try out another of Game On's expanding collection of Xbox 360 games.

For those that are catching public transport to the event jump on www.131500.com.au and fill in the details and it will show you the best possible way to get here. If you come to Rockdale Station, GameOn is providing a Taxi service for this event to make it easier to get to.

One of GameOns’ finest will be doing drop offs from Rockdale station to the store. This will run from 10am-10:40am to allow an easier alternative to getting to the store.
