All rounds will be a BO3(best of 3) format (2 matches a week) until the end of the league (TBD) where finals will be BO5. Times will be picked by players but replays must be uploaded to a website like http://screplays.com/ or http://www.sc2replayed.com/ and then linked on the website (ahi building).

Players may stream their games if they want and have people observe / commentate if so chosen. Remember this is a friendly competition Observers and commentators are encouraged! Players should be aware that admins and referees have no way of preventing players from communicating with one another via third party chat programs. Maybe we should organise a vent?

Byes and Substitutions: Byes will be awarded to those with the highest seeds first (Seeds are discussed further down). Substitutions are awarded in a first-come first-served fashion. If you are there on time to check-in and in the game channel then you will be awarded a substitution for those that are no-shows.

Players may not race switch! If you sign up for the tournament as Protoss, you play as Protoss for the remainder of the tournament. Random players MUST play as RANDOM. Any strategies within normal game limits will be considered legitimate. Though cheesing and all-ins can be annoying to deal with, they are still fair by tournament rules.

Walk-overs: Should a player be late by 20 minutes or more to their match, the present player may take a walk-over should they choose to. Since this is friendly remember to let your opponent know WELL in advance if you cant make it. If more than 2 games are missed within explanation you will be ejected. In the event that a player drops from a game, that player will have 10 minutes to contact their opponent to replay the match. However, a replay is only allowed if no contact has been made by the players or there is no clear advantage in either player's favor. Should a player drop when he/she is clearly behind a walk-over(or free win in the case of a BO3 or BO5) will be given to the other player. The player who stayed in the game in this case may choose to give a re-play if they do not want the walk-over. On the other hand, if a player drops when he/she is clearly in the lead a re-play will automatically be given. Either case must be reviewed by an admin unless agreed upon by both players.

Seeding: Players are seeded based on their league. This obviously does not guarantee an easier match, however it should be a good guideline. After seeding your points will be matched based on the level of the player above and below you. If someone is 2 ranks in front of you for example you will gain 4 points for a win. If you lose a match no points are lost or gained. Players will only play others within a certain skill level of them (a bronze ranked player will never play someone who is in masters for example). The range will probably be 4 up and down (9). Obviously if someone has a better idea let me know. I (Fanatic) will post new matchups for the week every Sunday. People after seeding will be assigned a starting points value based on their seed (probably something like inverse rank x 4) so rank 20 / 20 would have 4 points and rank 1 / 20 would have 80 points. This hopefully should mitigate any starting problems with rankings but be small enough that over a few weeks people will begin to play against people closer and closer and anyone who was misplaced will end up where they should be.
