Unlike the HELP DESK, this will be information about this season's open ladder. Any major changes or additions will be noted here.

Important Dates
Season Start: Monday 16th February 2009
Ladder Lock: Sunday 28th June 2009
Finals Start: Monday 6th July 2009
Season Finish: Monday 27th July 2009

Prizes
The Winner and Runner Up of this season's ladder will be awarded with these prizes.
Winner: 6 Logitech G15 Keyboards
Runner Up: 6 Logitech G5 Mice

Unlocks
After the recent scout pack was released it has become quite obvious that this was bound to happen.

The scouts melee weapon unlock known as 'The Sandman' is not permitted for use at all in CGo ladder matches or pugs.

However the other scout unlocks of the 'BONK' drink and 'Force A Nature' can be used.

And in turn all other class unlocks released so far (medic,heavy,pyro) can still be used.
Please check the rules page if you are still unsure.

New Map Additions
The addition of four maps to the ladder.
cp_fastlane
cp_gates_granary*
cp_labor
cp_freight

Inactive Teams
We will now start taking action against teams to which we believe are inactive. This includes teams that do not accept challenges or play in matches. A series or 2 or more forfeits within a period of a month will indicate the team is inactive and the team will be moved to the bottom of the ladder or removed entirely.

If you challenge an inactive team and we decide to remove it you may get a short period of protection so you can issue another challenge.

Finals Maps and Format

The maps used in the finals series are.
cp_granary
cp_badlands
cp_gravelpit
cp_well
cp_fastlane

And finally the format. Now please read this as there is a slight change from the normal. Mainly note the quarter finals.

Cevo Ruleset. First to 5 wins. 1 Map with two 30 minute halves. If a winner has not been decided by the end of the second half, Golden Cap will come into play. Next team to cap out wins. This is only used however in tied game situations.
Quarter finals (1 Map Elimination)
M1= 1v8
M2= 2v7
M3= 3v6
M4= 4v5

Best of Three, 3 Maps with 30 minutes of play, first to 5 points wins. If it is tied after 30 minutes, Golden Cap Rule comes into play. Next team to cap out wins.
Semi Finals (Best of 3 Maps)
M5= Winner of M1 v Winner of M4
M6= Winner of M2 v Winner of M3

Third Place Playoff (Best of 3 Maps)
M7= Loser from M5 v Loser of M6

Final (Best of 3 Maps)
M8= Winner of M5 v Winner of M6

Go GO superIvo, just tidy up this paragraph :
Note for now there is no specific dates, but teams will be given a good month to 6 weeks warning before the the finals are to take place. Simply the ladder will run for around 4 months or 16 weeks.

* Please note that Gates Granary is the pre update version of our current granary. Most notibly the 'garage' aka Connector to middle and courtyard has no little health or (tablet bottle) and that the path to the drophole has no obstacles. The rest of the map is stock standard.

updated rules regarding server issues and connections-

If an appropriate alternative server is available, whether a bookable or clan server, teams should try their best to complete the scheduled match on this server. In cases where teams cannot communicate, or a server cannot be found 30 minutes after scheduled start time a dispute should be entered. Teams should allow for an extra 10-15 minutes for the server to be set up. Organisation of alternate servers should be fully communicated between teams, and a lack of communication is not grounds a forfeit. However, if a team is found to be deliberately unhelpful or cooperative, action may be taken, such as a round forfeit.
