Welcome Racers to another edition of battleracer. Cybergamer in association with Sir. Elxx and myself are bringing you the first ever 2v2 battleracer ladder.

During the last 2 weeks Sir. Elxx has been working tirelessly on a new patch that renders the scroll wheel advantage DEAD! This success brings us to the opening of this ladder. Before you begin participating you will need to download and install this new patch 1.29.1

At the moment it is ONLY available here -> http://files.filefront.com/battleracer+1291+clientzip/;13468673;/fileinfo.html

Once downloaded place the zip into your battleracer folder: C: /program files/EA/BF2/mods/br2 - and extract replacing all the files it asks you too.

This is probably the first of a few very small incrementals which may be incorporated to polish and finish the final release due out in the future.

The ladder will officially open tomorrow night at 8PM AEDST coupled with an announcement on the front page, including a short interview with Sir. Elxx himself.

For now, get that patch installed into your folder and ENJOY!
Its cod5, pretty sure flick shooting awesomeness comes with rolling your face over the keyboard whilst thrusting your mouse into your crotch. Without a doubt the game will bug out enough allowing you to pull of that amazing shot.
I downloaded the patch but I cannot apply it. I placed the zip into C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\battleracer2 and right clicked and selected extract here, then went yes to all (are you sure you want to override etc). It responded with location for each file that was to be overwritten and Access is denied under each
What have I missed?

(Vista user btw, I granted administrative rights when I moved the zip into the folder btw, it did not ask for it again)

Edit: DW, I just extracted it to desktop and cut and pasted it into the right folder. Giving it administrative permission and agreeing to move and replace.

Edited once, 15/3/09 - 10:30pm.

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Yes i think Team "scroll wheel" will surely struggle to install, BL!
I notice a few players dropped off already.

Haha, people are seriously dropping off now because they can't exploit anymore? That's awesome.

Sorry to those of you having problems with the patch, I'm working on an installer to make it much easier.

Also, you guys liked She Moves? I got nonstop complaints from Americans about it. Should I go back to it?
