hey guys just wonderin if its possible for there to be a strat mode type thing in servers so ppl can practice different things etc? or do we just use dm?

if you set up your own server, put it for S&D, unlimited timelimit and rounds. then /devmap mp_mapname. otherwise if not your own server you'll have to wait for bookable GA servers

On your desktop shortcut: RIGHT CLICK -> PROPERTIES -> TARTGET: put "+set sv_cheats 1" at the end of the target name
eg:
"C:/callofdutylol/iw3mp.exe" +set sv_cheats 1

Either do that, or book a server or buy a server and put /rcon login ->Password<-
then /rcon devmap mp_crash

Then start a server, and in console type:
/devmap *MAP NAME*
eg: /devmap mp_crash
then
/scr_sd_timelimit 999
/scr_sd_roundlimit 999
/scr_sd_roundswitch 999

(For the above commands if you are in a server that you are not running off your own pc, but you have the RCON password. Simply put /rcon before each command [eg. /rcon scr_sd_roundlimit 99] )

Then /bind , noclip
so each time you press the comma key you can fly around the map.
Useful when you practice your grenades so then you can hit NOCLIP and find out where they land quicker.
(Suggest you get teh 3x nade perk so you don't have to /kill so many times).
Then bind the FULLSTOP key to /kill.
/bind . kill
So once u throw 3 nades you press fullstop and suicide. The good thing is u basically respawn instantly so you don't have to wait for the "Round win............zzzz.....".

As far as I know there isn't a strat mode, so I hope that was of some help.

exactly what does sv_cheats 1 do, that devmap doesnt.

I thought devmap was only local, because when i typed it in it would take me to a local server, even though i was logged into rcon.

i ran devmap on my local machine and then forwarded ports on my router and it allowed other ppl to join via the intarwebs.

It said SV CHEATS IS READ ONLY even in developer mode.
Or was I seeing things?

Either way.. It works.
And yeah i forgot you could just use /give ammo rather than /kill -.-!

I haven't tried using DEVMAP on a non-local server. I figured if you could do it in CoD2 it would be the same in CoD4. hmm

devmap enables cheats.

sv_cheats allows u to use cheats while watching demo's..

so u can view 3rd person etc.. pretty much wat seismovision does with the added fast forwarding, stopping etc..
