We now have
11! confirmed teams to participate in the event. I was never expecting to get this many teams, thank you for getting your mates together and signing up.
This thread will provide more info on how the day will run, how to get to the event and how the tournament will work.
Getting there
GGF is hosted at an awesome air-conditioned hall at Strathpine, Brisbane (north side).
Address: 199 Gympie RD, Strathpine. Car park entry is from Mecklem St.
Google Map
From South and East Brisbane it's best to go on the Gateway Motorway and take the Bracken Ridge Rd exit, then turn left onto Hoyland St which will follow through to Gympie Rd. For west siders; get into the city via ipswich rd or the western freeway and go through the inner city bypass to get onto Bowen Ridge Rd which will follow onto Gympie Rd.
How the day will run.
Doors to the hall will open at 9am, Stu and I will be there even early setting up so don't be afraid to come early for a chat

. Everyone needs to be at the hall and ready to play by 11am. At 11am STU and I will come around to collect LAN entry fee from everyone ($10) and the tournament entry fee ($15 though we may change to $20).
The day will be packed full of leeching, playing COD and other games such as UT3 and Flatout 2.
There is a shopping mall with all the fast food you want about 300metres up the road. We will have drinks and chips for sale at the hall as well. $1 for cans of coke, $3 for monster energy drinks and $2 for samboy chips.
The hall will close at 10pm. All COD evens should be finished by 8pm.
The tournament
On the day we want each team to have played each other once before we enter the finals. These 'preliminary' rounds will all be played at once and everyone is to play on the given map. The finals will be double elimination (the bracket will look similar to
alienware) consisting of the top 8 teams on the day. You will need to present all scores to me at the end of your match.
