Just looking for everyone elses opinion on this.

In my opinion it is too easy to use, overpowered and accurate. It has 30 bullets in a clip making it easy to spray and pray with. It is very accurate from the hip and at close to medium range. Just watch in pub you will see a extremely shit players get MVP because of the STG. I think it should be removed to encourage the use of other lesser powered weapons and other guns that actually take skill. Its pretty shit trying to use a bolt action iron sight and walking around the corner, you miss your shot. then you get sprayed by up to 30 bullets(NO CHANCE). Personally I think its very similar to the P90. I was surprised that it was not removed when the MP40 was.

At the moment id say 2 - 3 players on each team use the STG in MOST clans, sometimes more. I think it would make clan matches more competitive and it would make some clans realise how bad they are. Without the STG some players would be nothing.


Here is a comparison to another rifle:

Gewehr 43 = 2 bullet kill

STG 44 = 2 - 3 (stand to be corrected)

STG vs Gewehr 43 hip fire = STG win

STG vs Gewehr 43 close range = STG win

STG vs Gewehr 43 medium range = 50/50

STG vs Gewehr 43 long range = 20/80 (gewehr will win unless your shit)

Also why are some of the other pistols not allowed? Sure the magnum should not be there. But some of the others aren't too bad.

i agree but you cant ban it, then it would just be gewher sniper or smg rush you need a stg.

na, i dont think it should be banned, anymore weappons taken out and it wont be cod5.

G43 + Claw > StG-44.

Also, we use the Colt because it is forced to stop Overkill being used when perks are disabled.

Yeah your right there's not much left. But I think the STG should of been the first gun to be removed in the first place. the replacement = bar :] for all those nubs who still wish to spray and pray , they have the bar. Its less accurate which is how the STG should of been.

Depending on how effectively you claw, you will have a better chance of beating the StG. Ie. If a guy with an StG comes around a corner, I will panic and shoot the entire 10 bullets whilst T-Bagging at the same time but I will still kill him.

But on topic, it is to much of a debate to handle. Anchor said it was really fun on pR's first WW match for GG where the StG wasn't used.

YES it should be... funnest match iv ever played was a GG match when we were under the impression it was banned. Was so much better people using guns that actually took skill and snipers not just getting sprayed by stg's.

EXACTLY. ITS REALLY FUN WITHOUT THE STG.

Pretty sure the first call of duty's were primarily based around bolt action rifles. And Im pretty sure the majority of soldiers in the war had bolt actions.

If anymore weapons are taken out of the cod 5 clan server it will totaly ruin the gameplay and therefore it shouldn't be banned!!
