Firstly - well done to all teams/players that made it to the finals!

I am currently waiting on final map selections to come in and then maps will be announced.

How the series will be played is as follows:
1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2
Round 1 (Highest voted map - this way everyone gets to play the preferred map)
1 v 4 - winner to R3 > loser v winner of 5v8
2 v 3 - winner to R3 > loser v winner of 6v7
5 v 8 - winner vs loser 1 v 4 > loser eliminated
6 v 7 - winner vs loser 2 v 3 > loser eliminated

Round 2 (2nd highest vote)
Loser 1 v 4 vs winner 5 v 8 - Winner v R1 2 v 3 winner > loser eliminated
Loser 2 v 3 vs winner 6 v 7 - Winner v R1 1 v 4 winner > loser eliminated

Round 3 (3rd highest vote)
Winner of match 1 R2 v R1 2 v 3 winner - Winner to GF > loser eliminated
Winner of match 2 R2 v R1 1 v 4 winner - Winner to GF > loser eliminated

Round 4 (GF)
Best of 3 maps - each map played on both sides - ie 3 standard season games.
Map 1 - 4th highest vote
Map 2 - Custom map selected by non bias party
Map 3 - (if required) Chosen by elimination. Each team eliminates maps in turn until 1 map remains from the standard season map list. The highest ranked team coming into the GF will get to either eliminate the first map or choose for the opponent to eliminate first.
Winner of Match 1 R3 vs Winner of Match 2 R3.

As an aside unless there is an outcry at this decision the 3v3 ladder will be shut post this season due to lack of activity.

Finally for teams outside of the top positions - it is business as usual - happy challenging.

Yeah, as long as it isn't starting this weekend (I'm not here xD) I'm up for as early as possible.

yeah sorry - I didnt post - there's a few casts up I think i may have not advertised.

Player are to set there playing times, round 1 will be roughly expected to be played a week from Saturday.

Yes I will be casting all matches minimum 1 round with the GFs fully covered same as last season. I believe Bray is planning on doing some coverage to a similar extent too - so you should be loaded up on Australian coh casting by the end of the series. I will be posting up before I do the casts, guest commentary spots and team special comment spots will be available for those who are keen.

i was planning on doing all 1v1 ladder matches, how many rounds i do though depends on uni >.<

oh and before I get asked the question because its bound to happen - if during the current map vote a map ties to decide its final ranking we will remove the lowest teams votes first until we have a winner between the maps.

FYI guys speedy was the last man required to submit his map votes - he did so this afternoon but accidentally left off the negative vote - as soon as i get that and confirm the others where as intended then we will have our map draw for 1v1. a few surprises I would suggest

And finals. Riverbed? Ffs. If anything we should be using the best maps for the finals, not the worst...

Yeah I understand that, and appreciate it. But why not sure the best maps again for the finals, considering they are the grand finals...
