Hey lads - if you look at the 4v4 ladder there are still teams that are recruiting this means you can apply directly as well. Might speed up the process and get you into a team sooner

Hey guys Pacific Gamerz is still recruiting.
Feel free to PM me and we'll organize to give you a trial. See if you fit with us and how we play. We are a fairly cruisy bunch.
Some of you have PM's set so only admins can PM you.
My GT is same as my name on here.

Well for LBS against other Aussie clans they are hard to come by. Teams are dodging us flat out, which happens unfortunately.

We've been trying to organise one for 3 weeks against dL and been about that long since we played xAPx - get told a bunch of stuff about why we can't play, re-building, merging, splitting up and so on. Yet here you are streaming a match only 2 days ago.

So we're organising 12 v 12 Conquest scrims against international teams now

Playing some Taiwanese team [BAT] tonight (definitely) we gave them a pub run last night and handled them pretty easily, but a full 12v12 is different. And might have a US team this arvo which sounds interesting.

Will be interesting to see how we go against the more dedicated BF Conquest teams

Well it was dL last match as a team so it was our farewell tour.

We tried playing you guys once and you all bailed just before you lost the one match because of lag. Doing that didn't help your teams image man and left a pretty sour taste in everyones mouth.

Most teams are rebuilding at the moment and some new teams being formed and I would say you will have your competition soon enough.

Really starting to get over people and clans slandering LBS, they play well, fair and communicate effectively with the opposition to set up matches etc which i cannot honestly say about other clans who still refuse to play or acknowledge us after all this time. Pacific Gamerz will scrim with them any time. (when we have it, between ladder and tourney matches).

Keep up the good work LBS!

Thanks Scoteye! Lots of the legwork goes un-recognised, thanks a heap for the support. We will keep trying and trying as public rooms are not a true reflection of a player or a teams ability.

@ Gumby

Sorry for going off topic but an explanation of sorts is required. We've heard this being said a few times since which is a little confusing considering I gave the option to your captain whether to stick around or play after a lengthy set up period. You guys only came in for a bit of that.

The scrim was set for 9:00pm so we entered an Australian room and tried to bumrush (team stack it) at 8:10pm Spent 50mins doing so and these blokes from Murder & Mayhem clan (clan tag KILL) wouldn't leave the room just to piss us off.

Your captain said what about US? So I was like ok cool they aren't leaving sounds good. We played a pre-round before someone mentions it was an EastCoast server. My stuff up!

So I left to find a WestCoast server. During which I received a msg saying "MAKE SURE NOT EASTCOAST!" to which I replied, well thats why have to research that was an EastCoast.

By this stage was getting late however we were still keen to play. I sent a msg saying a bit of a stuff around (which is my fault) do you want to reschedule? And you guys just left. After all that work we wanted to play, just thought we'd give you the option. You guys took that option.

Haven't been able to reschedule since.

Not sure how we can leave a sour taste in your mouth.

I hope you realise in all scrims the amount of work put in for these scrims. Sometimes they go off without a hitch, but if people trickle into a server then this sorts of thing can happen. If you try and be too clever and use DICE search functionality instead of choosing the West Coast pre-set then you can jump into the wrong room. I tried to correct that for the benefit of a half-decent connection, not just something we were in.

If you could have a 20man XBL party chat it wouldn't be that much of an issue but we don't so as a captain there is lots of back and forth messages taking place all the time, considering you have players jumping on asking if they can play, talking to your other 4man party to discuss strats & make sure they are good to go, then they might send you a msg or a party invite that you have to reply to, then jumping back into your own 8 man party chat, running thru strats a 2nd time, making sure they're good to go. Plus all the msgs to the other captain about pulling back, getting rid of randoms, letting the randoms know what is happening are they cool if we play this out here etc, then reading their replies and so on...

I put in 2hrs of hard work to get that particular scrim going on the day, plus all the pre-organisation (making sure team is available at particular time) so all of our guys could have a good hit out - some perspective please

No problem, i really hate people who slander others, Harden up and act like the gaming industry professionals you aim to be, You represent your members and others in the community and not just your personal opinion,

These clans or communities claim that they want to grow competitive gaming in Au/NZ yet will strain those ties due to what they should think should happen, many of these gamers (especially older gamers) are managers, organisers supervisor and mediators already, they have been around the block more than once and have made their careers out of it. These are skills you learn working and developing career related relationships, something which 20 year old Uni students have not developed yet. and not something you pick up from reading a text book on psychology or some other rubbish.

The salt has been gaming longer than some current players have been alive, people are lucky to have some one who has by my calculations been around gaming since the very beginning. I find it laughable that there are young ones who think they are old school since they started on SNES..
