Well we've just past the halfway mark of the Conquest Champions League, with a few interesting matches, some blowouts and some teams folding. Thought I'd give my opinions and predictions on who the top two teams of each Group will be and how each team has been performing and the reasons behind some unexpected results.
Group 1:
For Valour - Well very strong off the mark were F-V smashing Delta Brotherhood former Grand Final opponent in Battlefield 2142, then going on to annihilate Requiem Gaming and the AEF: 10th. Apart from Team SideWinder you'd say only db and reQ were going to be any competition for both F-V and [tsw] and F-V have done away with these teams quite easily. For Valour toughest opponent comes in Round Six of the CCL against Team SideWinder and will determine who will finish 1st in Group 1.
Team SideWinder - [tsw] the only other real competitor in Group 1 at this stage and have unfortunately only had the chance to smash AEF: 10th with Executioners and Delta Brotherhood both forfeiting their match. I've been told my a member of the community who I don't wish to enclose that Team SideWinder's performance has dwindled considerably since the banning of the M2 Carl Gustav but that remains to be seen with their flawless record. The big test for Team SideWinder is For Valour in Round Six.
Requiem Gaming – Well reQ. can't be disappointed or overly happy with how they have performed in the CCL so far. Currently sitting on a 2 – 1 record with recent wins over the Delta Brotherhood and AEF: 10th has to be encouraging considering they've put no practise or effort into the competition so far, and have all been too busy playing Heroes of Newerth. ReQ should finish 3rd in the pool unless they can upset Team SideWinder in Round Seven of the CCL.
Delta Brotherhood – Unfortunately for Delta Brotherhood they lost too many key players at the start of their tournament, losing their main two captains BoB too Team Immunity and Sarin to ??? . With the likes of Bourne, Shaunicles showing no interest and thraSK departing at the end of Round Two to [carnage], Delta Brotherhood will probably not be the team that they were in Battlefield 2142. They're likely to finish 4th or 5th in their pool, depending on if they show up to the remaining matches.
Executioners – No idea who they are, but haven't showed up to a single match so doubt they'll be in the CCL much longer or will end up finishing last in Group 1.
AEF: 10th – For the AEF they probably faced their three toughest opponents of their group in three consecutive rounds, so the positive is they can only improve from here. However recruiting Llama_Ops who will most likely carry them to the bottom of the scoreboard (jokes pal) they definetly have no chance of finishing in the top two, but will most likely get forfeit wins over Delta Brotherhood and executioners.
Group 2:
Team Immunity – Well iM boast an impressive line-up of the successful BF2 and COD4 Team eXile5 teams as well as some old school Battlefield Players and BoB. Team Immunity have played fairly strong throughout the CCL so far beating Effortless Precision, 6 Pack and GummyBears quite convincingly although only having a close win against Team eXile5: Team 2 in Round 2 by 22 tickets. Rebranding under the Team Immunity banner means this team are going to take Bad Company 2 more seriously than originally stated by Smiley on the Inside Battlefield Show and should finish 1st in Group 2.
Iron Bunnies – Well the Iron Bunnies have had a successful return to Battlefield with three wins in a row over Effortless Precision, GummyBears and 6Pack, however they have a hard run home to finish the CCL Round Stages with matches against Team Immunity and Team eXile5: Team 2 to come. They should finish in 2nd spot but with the mishap in the GameArena tournament, could see the Iron Bunnies choke and be replaced by Team eXile5: Team 2.
Team eXile5: Team 2 – Despite being Team 2, these eXile5 team is the stronger of the two and are still within reach of advancing through the round stages of the CCL. If Team eXile5 wins the rest of there matches which is totally plausible they should advance in 2nd Spot behind Team Immunity. The Big match is Team eXile5: Team 2 versus Iron Bunnies in Round 7, which will most likely be the knockout round for both teams.
6Pack – 6Pack had a steady start to the CCL with a promising win over Effortless Precision 80 - 0 however it turned all pear shaped from there with a loss to Team Immunity and a hiding from the Iron Bunnies. I don't have much to do with 6Pack but it looks like they haven't put as much preparation into the CCL as I originally thought they would and will be probably finish in 4th spot which may be seen to the community as where they should finish or a disappointing finish to the CCL for them.
Effortless Precision – Don't know much about these guys, but it's good to see some new teams in the mix of the CCL. Although it's probably been a horrible experience getting beaten by Team Immunity, 6 Pack and then a forfeit loss to Iron Bunnies I hope ep` can try and keep it together for future ladders. My prediction is they'll finish 6th.
GummyBears – Well the GummyBears returning to Battlefield from the 2142 scene have had a rude awakening with three losses and a huge ticket deficit in the CCL. I think there matches against 6Pack and Effortless Precision will be closer with a chance to finish 4th above 6Pack if they put in a good performance.
Group 3:
AEF: Black Watch – Underestimated by some team the Black Watch have had a Stella run so far in the CCL with a close win over carnage then pretty convincing wins over Deadly Combination and Frenetic Array. Although looking good to finish in 1st spot, the Black Watch should be looking to beat Avant-Garde, as there is still a possibility for Frenetic Array, Avant-Garde and Carnage to make the top 2.
Frenetic Array – Well Fray` had a good start against easy opponents early getting a forfeit win over vital Esports and then beating Deadly Combination quite easily, there first real test was against the Black Watch and unfortunately didn't step up to the plate. The word is that fray` don't have a huge interest in Bad Company 2 anymore and have probably played themselves out of the CCL mentally.
Carnage – Well carnage is my own team so don't really want to express to much

. I will say that we have been an unknown quantity so far and will definetly not underestimate Frenetic Array in Round 7 as we make a push to finish in the top 2 on the CCL.
Avant-Garde - -A-g- haven't had the best of starts to the CCL with a forfeit win over vital Esports who were then dropped and a shock loss to Carnage in Round 3. However Mashes and Wandy are more then capable of getting the team back on track and if they will all there remaining matches they stand a good chance finishing in the top 2.
Deadly Combination – Well DC was a fairly strong COD4 team and has found it hard to find any ounce of form and good performance so far in the CCL. I have no idea how much effort they have put in but I'd say it had been fairly minimal and will most likely finish 5th in Group 3.
Group 4:
Team 7 – Well if ever the Born To Kill tag is going to leave Burnouts and yellow then it's with the great performance of Team7 so far in the CCL. They've had strong victories over BushRangers and Team eXile5: Team 1, which has put them in first spot in Group 4. Their real test is next week against the Anarchy Krew who is tipped to take out the CCL tournament on Laguna Presa.
Anarchy Krew – Well it's good to see that the Team Immunity Roster is the same as the Anarchy Krew roster... wait what? Anarchy Krew should rape every team in their path the only concern they can have is execution during final series has been a problem in the past, although I think that's long behind them.
BushRangers – Well BushRangers have had a fairly strong performance in the CCL with two losses to Team7 and Anarchy Krew and 2 wins over Xeta Gaming and Southern Cross Soldiers. They should finish in 3rd spot and well definetly be a team to be reckoned with in future ladders.
Cobra Gaming Network – Don't know much about them apart from screwing everyone's tips, it looks like they have a flawless record of winning when they show up to matches so lets see if that continues.
Team eXile5: Team 1 – Apparently the worse of the two Team eXile5 teams with a loss to Team7 a forfeit win over CGN and a forfeit loss to aK^, its hard to know where this eXile5 team fits in the scheme of things, although it's definetly not in the top 2.
SouthernCrossSoldiers – Don't know much about them but it's good to see more teams participating in the CCL however entering a pay to play competition, as a social clan was probably not a great idea.
Xeta Gaming – Don't know much about Xeta Gaming they can only improve with time though, however there current performance mimics the position of the first letter of their name in the alphabet...down the bottom.
Good Luck all teams Group 3 should be a interesting finish.
