Activision has announced the second map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, named the Resurgence Pack, will be available for download first on Xbox Live starting June 3. The pack will arrive on PC and PlayStation 3 sometime later.

The Resurgence Pack will include five multiplayer maps. Pricing and map details were not announced.

Activision is hoping this map pack is as successful as the Stimulus Package, the first pack released last March. The Stimulus package set sales records on Xbox Live, selling over one million units in the first 24 hours alone.

Activision executives noted on their financial call last week that Infinity Ward is continuing to handle development on these maps despite 35 employees resigning from the studio.

Recently Tweeted by Robert Bowling was confirmation that the latest "Inside Xbox" was now live and contained his preview of the upcoming MW2 Map Pack titled the "Resurgence" Map Pack. It contains 3 new maps; Trailerpark, Fuel & Carnival as well as 2 fan favorites; Strike & Vacant.

The pack is scheduled for download in June at a price of 1200MSP. The video is below;

I 100 percent assure you that they will be 1200 msp, my reasons being: 1. They sold over a million copies in the first 24 hours, that means people are willing to pay the money. 2. They are releasing the same amount of maps as the last pack so there is a need to keep the same price.
