Do the TF2 ladder match servers, ping kick?

Hello TF2 CG.

do the servers we play on for ladder matches ping kick? If one of our members gets back ping, will he be kicked?

Why? We've played a scrim or two on some servers and he gets ping kicked until the admin turns that off. Not sure if that's a default setting or not (for the average joe-public server).
