Hey SoupNahtz -
A quick answer off the top of my head would say yes there is no problems with that method but if you dont mind a read I think I might be able to clear a few things up in my short and unorganized rambling about your question but I am not sure if it will clear anything up for you.
Apologies in advanced, I am a little tired and Ive had to play a little with this too but I tried to get this out of my head in one piece without "@#$%^ng it up too much" so please don't pick me apart if anything is wrong hehe!x :]

As far as I am aware so far there have been several other commands that have been removed. Similar to "cl_interpolate" although there is not official list of these commands as yet. Simply removing these commands from your current configuration and copying it across seems to work although experiencing a few difficulties myself it could be slightly more difficult in regards to particular things being changed.
There are a few files in which are most common to many players
setup. These files are usually located in the
CFG folder unless otherwise specified.
- autoexec.cfg
- config.cfg
- config_default.cfg
In a little more detail for you regarding "
How to correctly [import]
your current Counter Strike: Source configurations into the BETA"
The easiest way to do this is have a look and see what is different using the good old notepad.
You can open both your current
Counter Strike: Source configuration file and the
BETA's at the same time.
Replacing the "
default bound keys" in
config.cfg with your own is completely fine and will in most cases work assuming that your "binds"
do not contain any "commands" that are
invalid although you will find these eventually and removing them from your configuration manually seems to be the only way without building upon the default config.cfg supplied with the
BETA.
Warning!
When loading other configuration files. For example if a .cfg file is located in another "subfolder" like (cfg/binds/binds.cfg) they will not load at current as there seems to be an issue with externally located .cfg files.
Apologies:
I'm sorry if any of this information seems a little muddled or confusing I am very tired at the moment and may have made a mistake although I am sure its 99% correct. Please PM me for any further help if you need it? or Would like to request any Help on another issue regarding CSS Beta.
There will be a much greater planned explanation on this topic and I'm sure that any issues relating to this matter will be covered.
Until next time Mz.
