according to some forums i've read the max refresh rate for the p2250 monitors is 60hz.

if that's the case, that is TERRIBLE for quake, especially for the people coming from the 120hz samsung's or their trusty CRT's.

75hz is just bearable but 60hz is a nightmare. hopefully it's just people not being able to get it to 75hz.

according to this website it is possible for them to get up to 81Hz but ive spoke to IT and they said they'll find out how ours compare.

That's only the horizontal sync rate that goes up to 81hz.

I've always thought only the v-sync rate matters to gamers, and according to that website it's max 60hz.

Someone tell me if I'm wrong.

Im not 100% but i though having v-sync on can actually slow down games?

i could be wrong though

LOL and thanks Zlr im learning alot about computers over these last couple of days

EDIT: ive looked into it and read someone mentioned for games like Quake its better to have it off so u man reach fps over 140
