Welcome back everyone for CyberGamers weekly installment of the MW2 League Report. We are in Round 3 already, capping and match reports are going off everywhere and we're in full swing and smashing through the schedule with the last of round 2 finishing up before.
At the start of Round 2 an issue about team drop out's causing teams getting more strat time on the pre-determined maps was brought to light. A way around it stumped everyone and it didnt seem possible to swap the schedule around, if another team dropped we would have the same problem. So a compromise which should have been instated before we started was found, random map selection every week from now on.
As a result, i looked into my Crystal Ball yesterday and pulled out Sub-Base. Both CGi and CGm will be playing their round 3 games on this map as per the schedule.
I will also add in some choice selections from the upcoming DLC map pack, but they can stay under wraps for now. A few CGm games were scheduled early, but as always, you have until the following sunday night (30th) to play Round 3 games, CGi challenges will be sent soon.

~ Round 3 Games ~
As always, we have the Round images below and featured tipsters for the report. This week and probably coming weeks i will appoint 1 person to each league as many people have requested to do tips, and there are a few people i want to do tips. So this week Hyper. is doing CGi and Fightclub AU has taken on CGm.
~ CGi Predictions ~
Insurgency vs Malice
~The last time these teams met was in a finals match in which Malice won 2-0 but these teams are very equally matched and i see this being very close, maybe even into overtime but just from previous results i see Malice winning in this very close match up.
Predicted Result: 13-11 Malice
Prawn vs Faritha
~Both fairly new teams but they both have great line-up's, neither team won last week so they will need come out fighting if they want the to take this one but i see Faritha taking the win if they can pull themselves together.
Predicted Result: 15-9 Faritha
despiZe vs team.viral
~This will be a very interesting match up, both teams have beast lineup's but despize will have the confidence of coming of a match against 1sk with a very convincing win so viral will need to play at their best. It's anyone's game but in my eyes i see despize coming off with another win.
Predicted Result: 15-9 despiZe
FreQency vs eNigma
~This is a hard match to predict because both teams are pretty equal with each of their own strengths so it will come down to who is better on the day, imo i see it going into eNigma's favor
Predicted Result: 14 - 10 eNigma
Frenetic Array vs One Shot Kill: Team 1
~2 very well known veteran teams coming up against each other on (Imo) the worst map in SnD, it will be interesting. Both teams will be playing hard and i see it being close with the possible overtime but as long as fray unleash the cheese beast i think they will take it.
Predicted Result: 13-11 Frenetic Array
The Unit vs BYE
Predicted Result: 1-0 The Unit
~ CGm predictions ~
With Sub Base being the map for Round 3, i believe that the games, this round, will go to whoever has strated, scrimmed and over-all prepared the most.
This is because i believe Sub Base is not a common map for matches to be played on, so experience will either play a huge or tiny role this round.
It will be huge if a clan has played a couple of matches on this map and know decent spots to camp, decent rushes and pushes.
But will it be the decidng factor as we have some massive match ups this week.
~ Nexus vs. eMpathy ~
After quite a heavy loss against Exposure last week, Nexus will be looking to come out firing against an unbeaten eMpathy squad.
Nexus will need to better there attack then what was produced against Exposure, otherwise this could get ugly quick, as eMpathy's defense last week was brilliant,
with players holding their own and a some good clutches. But in saying that i think Nexus have the players to bring eMpathy back to earth with their first loss.
Predicted Result: 14-10 Nexus to cause an upset.
~ Who's Got A Hairy Ass? vs. Exposure ~
With a narrow win last week, against a determined 1SK: Team 2, H-a's attack seemed to be up to the challenge, and it will need to be again this week if they have any chance to beat a confident Exposure team that came close to shutting out Nexus last week (2-10).
Exposure can't come into this game too cocky or H-a will run riot and Wilson (if he plays) will have a field day with sledging his opposition.
With Exposure playing 1SK: Team 2 round 1 and winning quite comfortably, you would have to say that Exposure SHOULD have the upper hand.
But if H-a play as good as i know they can, they will give Exposure a run for their money.
Predicted Result: 16-8 Exposure to win.
~ Nexus: Champions vs. Mountain Biking 2 Mordor ~
With both of these teams yet to put a win on the board, this match could be crucial if they dont want to fall too far behind the rest of the pack.
Nexus: Champions coming off a heavy loss to iCrew and MB2M coming off a close loss to eMpathy i believe this game could go either way.
It is going to take some stand out performances from selected individuals from both teams to decide this game.
Attack will win this game for one of the teams as i see both as equally competent on defense.
Predicted Result: 13-11 Nexus: Champions to scratch one up.
~ One Shot Kill: Team 2 vs. Encore (Team.Vitrue) ~
Will there be a bounce back factor this week, after Encore were slaughtered by Syndicate 20-4? Can 1SK: Team 2 notch up a win after losing 2 on the trot?
Only time will tell. Both have stong line ups that are capable of playing alot better then we have seen, so this may be the turning point.
1SK: Team 2 need to get a win on the board soon or risk losing too many rounds that will prove costly come the end of the season and Encore need to do the exact opposite of what they did last week.
Predicted Result: 14-10 1SK: Team 2 to grab their first win, but only just.
~ iCrew vs. Syndicate ~ Fightclub's Game of the Round ~
Hopefully we can get this game shoutcasted, because i believe that this will be a thriller, two of the heavyweight contenders for CGm Gold are going head to head.
After losing only 11 rounds from 2 matches Sydnicate are red hot, but they will need to pull out all their stops if they wish to remain undefeated against an iCrew team that can just about beat anyone on their good day.
Talking to iCrew's captain, Etho, this is what he had to say "They will be tough, and Sub base is a not so common map, experience will not come into play, more so who has the best preparation on that map because it is an uncommon map. Also we have never played a clan match on it (They may have), so thats another factor, It should be close though. 13-11 our way."
And here is what Ashifyy had to say for Syndicate "Well obviously i would like to say 24-0 our way but in my honest opinion i would say 16-8 or 17-7 our way. I also say it should be a very close game with rounds that are so close that will be hard to take. Also the addition of phantm to this team will make it much better for us as he is a great player."
With Etho calling it a tight game and Ashifyy thinking that Syndicate will take it quite comfortably, i am torn between the two. But when the 'nades have settled and the dust is clear, i think iCrew will end the unbeaten streak of Syndicate.
Predicted Result: 13-11 iCrew's favour.
As always we all encourage you to leave your own predictions, last week was a great example with lots of people putting their tips in along with discussing this weeks League events.
However, thats the end of another report, good luck to everyone in Round 2 and cheers to all who are making the leagues and report possible, cya in next week's report.
