Draft Comp Finals - ezMODE vs Team eXposed

This was one of the first matches of the first round of finals for the CyberGamers draft competition. This being important for both teams as the loser would be out of the chance to win the prize money.

The knife round got underway with a few minor hitches, the first player to go down was erialz by a TK knife but the ezMODE guys come back to make it a 1v3 but then Shinx brought out some massive skills to clutch the round for Team eXposed.

Team eXposed quickly picked crash which is what the ezMODE guys were expecting although they didn't expect them to come out all guns blazing. ezMODE picked up the first two rounds quickly but the team exposed guys wouldn't let them get away bringing it back to 6-6 at halftime.

ezMODE going on to attack got a bit of momentum and had a lead of 10-8 but through some poor decision lost that lead to let eXposed have it at 12-11. In the last round it come down to one team Exposed player taking down 3 of the ezMODE players to deny them any chance at winning that map.

The map of choice for ezMODE was Citystreets which by the looks of it team eXposed were expecting also as ezMODE started on defence. Team exposed winning 3 rounds early in the map, but ezMODE rallied and picked up their game finishing the first half on 8-4.

eXposed brought the scores back with a very strong defence, coming back to 9-9. After that point exposed looked to be in control as ezMODE threw away rounds making poor decisions. In the end the map was drew on 12 a piece sending this one to overtime.

The first overtime was again close going tit-for-tat as both teams wanted to come away victorious. The ezMODE boys ended up winning 2-1 on defence for the first half. But showing the Citystreets is slightly biased towards the defence also won the 2nd haf 2-1 sending this map to a second overtime.

Both teams knew that the 2nd overtime was were it had to end. In the 2nd overtime eXposed showed their composure holding their positions and getting crucial picks. They ended up winning the first half 2-1.

In the 2nd half it really showed that the ezMODE guys didn't show the discipline needed as eXposed ran away with the win thanks to some great work by presto at the A bombsite clutching the round 1v3 to win the match.

Team eXposed won crash 13-11 and citystreets 13-12.

All in all it was a very close two maps but due to ezMODE throwing away to many rounds they ending up bowing out of the Draft finals.

I personally would like to thank some people. First of all CyberGamer for hosting the draft competition, all of the participating teams and lastly the biggest thanks of all goes to Sensuki for continuing his great work by keeping this community active.

Thanks,
TommyGun

Horrible communication and covering by ourselves led to us throwing away a lot of cheap rounds. 4 v 2s and 3 v 1s. Stupid stupid play by ourselves. We were in good positions on both maps and choked it.

GG, looked intense.
Awesome Write-up.
Bad luck to ezMODE, I honestly thought they had it in the bag. It seems Team eXposed have been putting quite a bit of time into the game lately =].

Best of Luck in your next game eXposed.
