Hi,

I'm looking to get a HD capture card that supports component input (my 360 is old and doesn't have HDMI) and preferably need it to be external and have it be supported under Windows (only computer near the xbox is a vista laptop).

I looked at the Blackmagic Video Recorder, and it seems perfect but I'm pretty sure it only has support for OSX

Does anyone have experience with this product, or know what else I could try?

Thanks.

Go to the reseller tab and look for the shop in Aus or where ever you live and next to the shop it should tell you if the shop sells for windows, mac or both. Hope this helps

Resellers mention the device as Mac only. Is there no other software on Windows that will support it?

Is there any other device that will work?

I'm not too worried about the output actually being 720p or 1080i, I just want something that will let me play in HD (1080i via component). And I don't think the intensity is an option, the only other decent comp i have is in another room down the hall :S

Nah, component is still HD ( 1080i ), but it's not FULL HD ( 1080p ).

Yeh mate, I'm also looking for the same thing, I also play on HD (1080i via component). That Blackmagic Video Recorder looks great for the job, but as you said, it only works on Mac
I'm gonna have a look around to see if it's definately not for PC and also look for similar products.

Well I emailed Blackmagic through their support system about OS support (and if there was any drivers/software to enable use on Windows) but they have yet to reply. Let me know if you find anything.
