if 1 of the mods can tell rj that aus vs nz is on same time as this tourney and many from my team are going/watching the match and so are most of other teams by the sounds of it. so if the tourney could be postponed till saturday 7pm that would be great

We always make our own ruleset and it gets us nowhere. Just once can we play the game how other countries are playing it?

Completely different issue you're just ranting. That wouldn't effect for when the match is set up at all. We offered you to run it yourselves.

Round switch was done for a legitimate reason so that we can provide shoutcasting, sorry if thats a negative for you, hardly effects live gameplay. Stuns have always been overpowered. That's more oppionated. Bit of an exaggeration to say it's like our current rules.

Also arctique, how are a few minor rule changes going to effect whether or not we get noticed "by the world". Don't even know what you meen by that or what it would do for us. We haven't even been noticed in our country, getting a bit far ahead there.

Alright, I've fixed it up a bit. Its 8 rounds each half, 16 total.

Swapping every round makes the game unshoutcastable. It also makes it a bit of a PUB match.

Stuns will be put back in. As this is a test for the ruleset I think its fair to give stuns a fair go and see if they are any good. But there does seem to be a fairly divided crowd for them.

yeah but if you had played a proper promod match you would see how much teams can switch up with the round switch every round, it means on defence they have time to talk about what they are going to do on attack and you can see some real good mix-up's happen... with 6 or so matches being played at the same time how are you going to shoutcast anyway

The Australian community is never going to get invites to the MLG tournaments etc if we continuosly make our own rulesets. We will still be hosting our own competitions and donating our own prize money. We will never get sponsored competitions if we go on like this.

The only way is to play how the rest of the world is playing and then have leading players or sponsors recognise australian gaming.

Maybe if they see the Promod footage from somewhere, they will think twice.

full stop.

We have one of the best halo teams in the world playing 100% mlg style competitions, online and offline completely undefeated. Came 8th? correct me if Im wrong at WCG Germany.

No mlg invite.

In regards to round switch. I dont quite understand it. How does it lead to better strats? if every 2nd round you have to worry about the complete opposite strat? I've played a few PUG matches of ProMod and you could say its less repetitive, but its also more like a PUB match.

I dont think its to do with better strats rj, since the majority of the teams dont have any strats are playing this purely for fun and like the mad rush of round switching every round. I agree with some people and think that it makes it less repetitive. However, imo it doesnt affect it too much, the people posting who want to follow the exact rules of other overseas comeptitons think that it would attract more sponsors to the cg community. I dont agree though because its a fun tourny and i doubt if we havnt been recognised yet when we were full on, on cod4 with all the old teams then we wont get recognised by this. Rj said above about the halo team and its true about most major overseas tournys (MLG, Gamebattles, etc) that there wont be aussies in them ( could be because of a relatively small community, who knows.)

Ok i retract my statement but none is going to pay to go to america and play in tournaments and that is where sponsors come in. Without the sponsorship we are getting nowhere fast.
