Hi guys had a quick look ingame, I wasnt really hyped about this release knowing it was on the dreaded bc2 engine, But after jumping in game it feels like a smooth version of a mixture of games, the customization in the rcon and player configs is very wide. For instance FOV,decals ect can all be tampered with. the rcon is a heavily modified bc2 port, (when i say heavily modified the options are visible to change allowed weapons ect but are currently greyed out for this beta (something to look forward to on a competitive aspect) To me feels like modtools will be slightly incorporated into the admins powers minus the map making.

Now i was testing this on my computer: on dx10 everything high x2 AA X4 anis

amd x4 630
3gb ddr2
9800GT

Nothing special, havent tampered with my config at all, running at 1650x1050 @ 60hz

Holding 60 fps and it felt very similar to the movement of call of duty 2 minus the no prone and lean, (once you see the environments you will see why). There is also options in the controls to do hold to aim and hold breath . It is a smooth running game how a fps should feel.

It does not feel like bc2 whatsoever keep this in mind, to me it feels like a different engine.

Guns/recoil/bulletpattern, recoil does not exist zoomed in on the machine gun i was using. although with the pistol and of the hip it was visible. Although spraying from a distance at walls reveiled there was definatly a bullet pattern

The sound is crystal clear and is pinpoint accurate

Visible problems so far:
Talking feature ingame is bugged
Server browser needs a little fix although the filters do work
Freinds system is not integrated fully yet into the main menu

Issues happen with every beta release, but i for one am going to be suprisingly buying this game and ive only played 10-15 mins worth (i was not really hyped at all about it and wasnt even going to bother playing the beta), even if it doesnt pick up (which i think it will) it has enough diversity to keep me entertained for many hours. One thing i also like about this game is that the level design is on par to the real life versions. reminds me of the old days when level design wasnt just thrown together and givin some shitty name. cough cough.

If you love the call of duty series the old moh's then i would definatly go downto your local gamestore and order this game and join me in beta on the 21st of june.

here are some quick screenshots:

If you weren't hyped about this game, then why did you preorder it?

But from your review, I may have to give it a go!

does anyone else have the graphics bug where some soldiers are running around practically invisible? lol, seems to be when they are behind certain textures that i can see a very faint outline of their body.

i wento EB this morning and ordered it, considering everything else on the market these days is utter fail,

Cod1,2 are dead only good cod games within the series both based of which game hmmm
cod4- jump spam jump spam any ****** can pick it up and have "so called skill"
bfbc2- Not my cup of tea, but always been a good pub game
mw2- Didnt even bother buying

Been lacking a good game for years now and one like made me excited enough to go out and preorder and that was " EA are wanting to take back the fps market with this release"

@ sadact nope havent stumbled across that one yet, but im probs gonna fiddle with my config in a bit

This game has more competitive features then bc2. If bc2 doesn't get timers etc by this games release, it may be the next best thing, unfortunately
