Yeah, why is there a limit to subs? My clan is rather active and we're willing to stick to a team limit, but for those not playing we'd want them to watch how we play and familiarise themselves with what we do.

I see no reasoning to limit subs to 1. Fair enough to limit them so there's still a few extra slots in the server, but I see no reason when most servers are 16 slots and the players use 10.

So, explain it to me.

You could just share the demo with the rest of clan Flamey, instead of having multiple subs.

The reason for sub is that we like to give everyone a go at a playing and it would be a bit of pain to get people to join then leave then join then leave and so on, i don't understand the issue of having subs

like dominik said. it would depend on how many slots the server can hold? i can see why everyone wants to have more subs incase of availability etc etc. but the more on the server the more laggy it becomes.....

having said that at least 2 subs should be possible thats 7 a side with 1 ref or admin, 15 players total... wouldnt really recommend over that anyway.

The game developers don't recommend anything over 16 slot yet servers such as internode keep pushing it. I'm cool with this so long as they keep it < 16 players.
