MW2 State Of Origin?

MW2 State of origin? Who said that? Oh that's right, you guys did! What a fantastic idea! The elite players of MW2 in Australia, and hopefully New Zealand. Going head to head in competition. Team rivalries may need to be pushed aside....

So what do we know so far about this crazy idea? Well we know myself and Nuggz are going to organize it. Nuggz was the first person to bring this up and propose something to us therefore has been rewarded the chance to help out (oh and also to out my control my craziness ). What we want to achieve is the fiercest, fair, and most talked about competition. This will be a free to play, player invite only competition. How are we going to do all this? All will be revealed my friends.....

So who will pick those players? Admins? Hell no YOU GUYS WILL PICK THE PLAYERS! That's right, we would rather the community tell us who you think is the best! Simply go! HERE to choose your players. We hope this will establish who the best players in competition are. The more people that vote will in turn portray who is OVERALL, the best players. There are some strict guidelines to voting, so make sure you read the OP first. Captains of teams will be discussed after the teams are chosen.

Wait hang on.... We may have the players but what about the teams? How many? What States? New Zealand playing? Well, this is ALL up to what our player vote's show. If we feel we can side a competitive team from VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD, NT, WA, SA, TAS and NZ. We will do so. Imagine if everyone REALLY supports it! We could have TWO teams from certain states! If we see some good players from 2 states, but they don't have enough to side a team. We will merge those 2 states together.

Tratty... You have said nothing about the format. OK hold on, I'm getting there! Now what would be the fairest way to do it? Elimination? Hang on though... You wouldn't play every team though... BAD IDEA! Round Robin? I think so. Try your luck against EVERYONE. Once this stage has been completed, 4 teams will square off in finals. Only one state will be crowned the winners! 3rd and 4th will square off to see who the 3rd best state is.

So what about the maps and rules? Now this is where it may get interesting... Maps will be the same as normally played. They will be preselected the whole way through the competition, BUT... the rules... This is where we may see some crazy stuff happen! Kit restrictions maybe? 12 rounds switches again? This one we are going to keep to ourselves for the moment . Those who are picked should have no problems with whatever kits they are allowed to use right? Hope someone in your team can scope.... maybe.. SHH DON'T GIVE IT AWAY

OK so we know how it is going to run so please tell us when! Soon? But Winter Cup is on, and that would be silly to run them simultaneous. After Winter Cup? Now you're talking. How long would it run for? This all depends on how many teams we get. What about over 2 weekends? So everyone could get involved and watch. Broadcasted? Not sure. Let's work on this one. Everyone can help this cause. Get involved and active in this competition and let's show Gamestah how much support it has!

Keep checking up on the forums for more information as we start to get closer to the end of Winter Cup. All details will obviously be provided prior to the competition starting. This is a little teaser to show you what we have in mind. Get voting and make sure you spread the word to everyone who plays in our competitions about the polls.

We need to inform the community of what is going on don't we? If people feel the need to try and turn it into that, then it will be at the discretion of the admins, as to what they want to do about that

NZ will win just an FYI

xbox, are bickering about it, but their are already running a couple of comps. and that cgo players are arguing about not playing it as it will be cgi players only which i can understand.

hope this goes well for pc players.
