If your not running RealTek(TM) on board sound, just try plugging some headphones into the microphone jack in the back of your pc.

My mate from school told me today that this had happened to him and gave me the same advice; it worked.
I'm so shocked that something as little as plugging in a microphone into its jack could fix a game... This is ridiculous. LOL
And yeah, I have RealTek, also.
I pledge an IW bash to get a patch for this. >:C

Ive got the disc and it says compatible with xp/vista im getting a new windows 7 will it work and should i follow these instructions

Yeah, if you have the same problem, just plug a microphone into your soundcard slot, whether it be at the front or the back of your case.
Since this has happened, two people have had the same problem, and this has also solved their problem. <:
It only says it's compatible with XP / Vista because 7 wasn't released yet at the date when Call of Duty 4 was released.
