CS:S Staff Applications - July 2010
CyberGamer is now recruiting Counter-Strike: Source ladder assistants and anti-cheat panel staff members. With season three of our invite leagues approaching and an open ladder that never sleeps, we are in need of some extra helping hands.
All of the staff here at CyberGamer are volunteers. They give up their time to help out the gaming community by running ladders and competitions to promote competitive gaming. If you are not willing to spare some free time and put in some effort then please don't bother applying. These jobs aren't for everyone, but they can be very rewarding for some people.
Ladder Assistant Applications
Ladder assistants help the admins run the CS:S ladders and competitions run by CyberGamer. Their general roles and duties include:
- Refereeing matches
- Handling match disputes
- Providing support to players/teams
- Support the admins
- Attend staff meetings
- Frequently be active within the admin team
Ladder assistants will receive access to the CS:S staff forums as well as receive admin powers in match servers and on the CyberGamer website. All ladder assistants will undergo a 'training period' where they will be taught how to carry out their duties properly and professionally. If we are satisfied with your effort and the results, then you will become an official CS:S ladder assistant.
Anti-Cheat Panel Applications
Anti-Cheat Panel members are responsible for keeping our CS:S ladders and competitions free from cheaters. Their general roles and duties include:
- Reviewing demos from matches
- Handling SourceBans submissions
- Catching cheaters in our community
- Regularly check SourceBans
- Be active
Anti-Cheat Panel staff members will receive access to the CS:S staff forums as well as receive admin powers on our SourceBans site. We are looking for A-C reviewers with previous experience in demo reviewing and using SourceBans. Training someone from scratch can be hard and time consuming as it takes lots of personal experience (that can't be taught) to become a successful A-C reviewer.
