Thanks CM. Don't need a monitor either - anything you'd beef up any higher on that spec if I had another 300-400 to play with?

Thinking maybe it's worth getting a small WD raptor drive to run the OS off. I have a couple TB of slower hard drives lying around which is why I didn't ask for one to be included in the quote.

He clearly says "gaming pc", so obviously it isnt that related to his job. Which means he is lying about his working giving him 2k to get a "work" computer.

They dont just hand out 2k in a cheque or cash and go "HEY M8 GO BUY A NEW PC FOR YOURSELF"
