To our CyberGamer CSS players, teams and community,
I would like to address a few matters that have come up over the past week. These matters more so specifically include server problems for CGo matches. However, I would like to start off and thank all the teams who are either currently playing in the CGo ladder, CGo season 4 finals and those who have participated in MEGA Comp 3 for the past 2 weekends. It is great to have a lot of support and feedback from you all. It has helped us a lot, and we are listening and making changes to provide you one of the best seasons of counter strike source in the upcoming near future.
It hasn't been an easy ride lately with the biggest change of all, the update to CSS. At CyberGamer we recently knocked all our servers back to 66tick with basically fresh servers. There has been some configuration problems which have led to some matches in CGo being delayed while we move the match to a new server. But this was handled fairly easy and quickly as team captain's promptly contacted staff for support regarding the problem. But it seems that we fix one problem and another one arises. As valve release some patches, we need to update our servers from time to time as it happens. So as a result furthermore, we had match servers not going up. We are 100% on top of the issues that we can fix from our end. After having some talks with a few other admins, we have attempted to pinpoint possible causes and have rolled out the plans to fix immediately.
If you continue to experience problems, we can fix the issue promptly if you contact us correctly. Here is a thread made to help you:
www.cybergamer.com.au/forums/thread/155380/How-to-contact-CSS-Admins/
By following the thread, we can fix your server quickly so the match can still be played.
I would also like to mention the MEGA Comp 3. We were posed with a choice to either postpone or continue and I chose to continue. We could say that it was like a test competition with the CSS update. A few problems arose with warmod and a lack of referees. From the feedback about the MEGA Comp, we are now aware of some problems regarding a lack of staff and I have since recruited several new referees. You will see these referees being trained over the next weeks in some CGo matches. We will be doing a staff overhaul at the end of this week to decide on the best people to serve our ladders and competitions.
My last point I would like to talk about is our future, CyberGamer CSS is here and it is staying. We have listened to feedback and I promise we are on top of it to make our competitions and future seasons even better.
I have set up a form to allow anyone to voice a private opinion about your experiences with us. You can have the option to fill out the form with your name on it.
FEEDBACK FORM HERE
Yours Sincerely,
Lucy
