Okay, so i just reformatted.

To my attention i discovered one of my hard drives is missing.. yet in Device Manager it says its there. Pretty much stumped for idea's had a check in bios says its there and working yet i still can't see it =/

any help would be great

Specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom x4 810
MB: Gigabyte MA-790X-UD4
GPU: xFx 1gb 4870
HD1: Seagate 160gb
HD2: Hitatchi 500gb
HD3: Seagate 1tb (missing one)

right click on my computer, hit management. once the window appears, hit disk management, then click on your missing hdd, it should be inactive. just hit initialise to assign it a drive letter and away u go.

did that drew and still nothing lol... the hard drive isnt screwed either because i was using it on another pc just before to make sure the hard drive wasn't dead.

did you actually initialize it or did you just check it in device manager? if so check your sata controllers and mobo drivers. and the sata power cord. if its the cord ill rage.

did all that.. everything was g.. just wasn't showing up in my computer.. i have no idea why its doing this, and i really dont wanna reformat that hard drive

If nothing works, put hdd in other pc, copy data, then format hdd, copy data back.

7 home premium 64bit..

maybe the HDD died. what HDD was it ( as in type, connector, space)

seagate barracuda 1tb 7200rpm sata.. nah its not dead.. i was using it another pc just 15 mins ago.. trying to see if theres anything i missed.. but yeah i have no idea.. its doing my head in though

if u rite click on my computer and go to mange. once in the look for disk management. u may need to open up your drive again for it to recognize it. does it have anything on the drive as in info or pic and shit like that on it

as i said before.. its showing up everywhere.. just not in my computer/ win explorer.

i think u may have to format it bro sorry to say throw disk management

i had a similar problem when i built my PC. i had 2x 1tb drives and only 1 would read. or you will have to reinstall windows with all dive connected
