Zealots/Warp gates are being nerfed for Protoss, as a Protoss player, I don't really mind since I am not a 4 gate push spastic, neither a proxy player. These nerfs basically smashed those 2 lame strats so ******ed Protoss players just got owned. The only thing I kind of worry about now is early pools (like 8-10), since you might be able to get a few zerglings out before the zealot comes out on 2 player maps and be able to wipe the majority of the probes because the zealot build time nerf is basically now like 14 gating when you 12 gate.

Can't wait for this patch, is looking awesome. By the looks of it, the game is nearly perfectly balanced now.

Reading TL and it seems a lot of other people think early pools against Protoss might become too powerful.

Only disappointment is that there is no Marauder nerf, they are pretty broken against Protoss...

Yes Marauders are still ******* stupid I'd rather see a change to them at least against buildings instead of the BC nerf.

I would have like to have seen marauders nerfed as well but at least there are some nice changed in there. I will be interested to see how the zlot build time works out in the match ups, will probably ruin any of my PvZ opens tho

Though tbh, I use 2 gate mostly in PvP, which just makes it slightly weaker against 1 gate cybo, which it would probably still crush. =D

Its quite funny that alot of P players are complaining about early pools. Zerg so far is the only reactive race, this will force some reactivity back on protoss players. Now you can't go any BO you want like you used to.

The problem is that it likely force you to 10 gate to defend this rush (obviously I can't test it, but it is likely).. People tend to scout at 9, which if you were to do a normal gate - by the time you scout it, it will be too late to counter. I don't think its fair for players to have to scout any earlier since it would be a macro hit just for some strat that is otherwise near unstoppable if you don't do a specific BO to counter it properly.

We will have to see, but if that is the case, then there is a problem. Because otherwise this means Protoss have to block their base in (stupid to do since muta harass will **** you up now) or have to spam Pylons at the entrance and keep cancelling them which would be a mineral hit.

BTW, Zerg are the reactionary race by nature. They barely have any "hard counter" units in their arsenal, they're just "general" units. So you will always have to adapt to the hard counter units that Protoss/Terran have. But that is just in terms of unit composition, in terms of strats they're equal. Protoss have to adapt to fast expands or else they get out macro'd, they have to adapt to Roach pushes etc, just like Zerg have to adapt to 2 gates/whatever.

By stating that Zerg can ONLY react, means that Zerg can only defend their bases and that's all.
