Impossible to defend or... I mean seriously, you can't defend your natural and main at once, it's impossible... Moving spines takes way too long... and without spines, its like gg.

pretty much, if you scout a 4 gate dont expand, spread creep and defend

2 spine crawlers, position an evo chamber to minimize space for zealots. Transfuse the spine crawler. Don't over extend your lings.

Hold on a second... so basically you're saying... don't EVER fast expand on blistering sands vs a Protoss player... because fast expansions happen before you can scout the fact they are 4gating....

And yeah evo chamber I do that on Metalopolis and other maps, blistering sands it doesn't work because there are two entrances.
I'm platinum btw, so don't give me basics like "spread creep" that's just what any normal Zerg player would do anyway lol. Mass roach is fine but stalkers rape them and zealots rape your lings...

If he's raping your lings and roaches with his zealots and stalkers you just don't have enough units.

Also attack from behind with your slings.

It all depends on what you find when you scout really, getting bury and both roach upgrades are good if you can micro them so that they appear from underneath them and bury when they are low on health etc

Blistering Sands is like one of the only zerg friendly maps though isn't it? As for not enough units, the thing with that is, to get more units, you have to cut drones early, but what if what you scout isn't a 4 gate, then you're kinda ****ed, if it is, then sure, cool. Also, I'm amazed some of you are able to get burrow and tunneling claws before the push :S the push comes like SUPER fast.

I'll upload a replay the next time I'm 4 gated on this map. Which should be within 24 hours.

I dont really think not expanding is an option. If a protoss 4 gates and then sees you turtling in 1 base, he will just hold you in with units and expand himself, and then fall back or hold your ramp when you got a bit to many units to deal with. After that the protoss will be way ahead.

fast expand, pump drones until he gets 3 gates/4th gateways building and then just pump units (lings and roaches) or lings and hyrdas if its possible to get them out fast enough. Make sure you got creep spread from your backdoor all the way to your expansion so you can move between the two fast.

(I don't play zerg, but it sounds good =D=D)

you have to expand relatively fastly vs a 4gate, even on blistering. I would suggest massing speedlings off your 2 bases, use them to harass his army or kill it as they are walking out. Use speedling runbys into their base to try and delay them. And kill the pylon with speedlings when they are reinforcing their army.

The next best, more economical option is to pump some drones off your fast expand then just mass speedling/roach. Dont forget to hide speedlings behind their army so you can pincer attack them when they go for an attack.
