So basically XP freezes after about 10 or 20 minutes after being idle. Doesn't freeze when i'm in game or just on the comp or the mouse moves a bit now and again. I don't think its a hardware issue as windows 7 runs perfectly without any problems at all.

I've googled this problem so many times and forums are telling me to do all these different things. I've tried alot of them but they haven't worked. Some people said it was screensaver or standby, I've tried all different settings. same with power and administrator rights after it goes into standby or something.

any ideas would be appreciated

This happend with window's 7 32 - bit for me,
but now i have Windows 7 64 - bit,
and it doesn't do it

I guess you could just format, imo
chances are that would fix the problem,.
