Whilst booting windows 7, my acer laptop hangs then blue screens for a fraction of a second.

I have attempted to boot in safe mode, and it hangs loading the file:

c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\CLASSPNP.sys

Any help would be appreciated, eg grumpy and/or lantern. Google hasn't given me any answers.

not hard to look it up, if really NEEDed.

if cbf to read, most of them say to do -

Just put in the windows 7 disk, and boot from it. then select to repair, and from the repair option select startup repair.

Or even if that doesnt work replace CLASSPNP.sys with one from the net http://www.dll-file-download.com/C/classpnp.sys.html
