Indonesia vs Singapore

Kottbullar.511<Steppes of War>

TenderSteak.722

Versatile.586 <Lost Temple>

OxygeN.278

Wakemeup.476 <Delta Quardrant>

anavar.178

Rith.496 <Scrap Station>

Tagan.542
Singapore head into the match in first place of the league, undefeated on 10 points. Indonesia are fourth, and will need some points to give them some breathing space over the other teams in the middling part of the ladder (NZ, Vietnam). Singapore should take this series and extend their lead, but I'm sure Indonesia will do decently, but I don't think we'll be seeing an Ace match.
Kottbullar

vs TenderSteak
SPOILER: Click to view
Kott has faced Protoss in every single one of his SEA Nation War matches, and as luck would have it, is facing another one in week 4. I've been impressed with Kott's play, but his occasional mis-micro has been very costly in his matches, sometimes putting himself at a disadvantage that was easily avoidable. Regardless, he's 5-3 (2-1 in series) against Protoss in the league so far, and has found the most success in more macro oriented play, defending against the one-base plays . His two losses against Stroggos were in the form of 2 gating into expanding, where Kott had a tough time being able to get his bases and economy powerful enough to overwhelm the enemy. While TenderSteak has only played once in the league (winning 2-0 in a PvT), he has shown some nice micro and quick thinking, but his play was all one-base. If TenderSteak decides to one-base again, he's going to have to do some tremendous damage to come out ahead. I'm going to tip Kott to win here, but without seeing TenderSteak's PvZ, it will be interesting to see how the playstyles do against each other.
Versatile

vs OxygeN
SPOILER: Click to view
At the start of the SEA Blizzcon Qualifier, the question was "Oxy-who?", which has now more or less been answered as "some cheesing guy" (truth be told, I didn't see any games from the SEA Blizzcon qualifier, so I have no idea how cheesy he was). True to his new found reputation, he cheesed in 2 of the 3 games he's played in the league so far (actually losing one, I bet the haters are happy now). He's up against Versatile, who has played PvT in his 2 matches in the league (a record of 3-3). I haven't been impressed with Versatile's play, his victories being more of his opponents wrong doing than his well doing. With so little known about Versatile (by me, at least) and OxygeN's recent results and reputation, I have to tip OxygeN to win.
Wakemeup (before you go-go)

vs anavar
SPOILER: Click to view
Wake's play has been pretty average to me, while the results speak for themselves (1-6, playing all 3 matchups), it just seemed like he was always one step behind his opponent in the game, and he can try and be HuK all he likes, one basing his heart out, but it simply doesn't work for him. Anavar's play was also less than brilliant in my opinion, his one win in the league (2-1 against a Zerg) I daresay displayed the Terran imbalance against Zerg, rather than a skillful outplaying. Both players seem more comfortable using a 1-base build, with a simple attack move to try and win the game. However, I think anavar should be able to win this, WakeMeUp crumbled facing any type of early pressure against his Terran opponent last week, so I think if anavar can adapt his build to be a 1-base with some harass instead of a 1-base stim timing attack, he should be able to take this series.
Rith

vs Tagan
SPOILER: Click to view
Rith (2-2) is facing Tagan (4-1, including an Ace match) in the fourth match of the series, and I think this match will be an interesting one. Rith got more or less raped by Thailand's SuperCheap in their week 1 series, but then fixed his play and beat Beethoven 2-0 (although one game was on that stupid island map, so that hardly counts!). Tagan was channeling HuK in his matches, going with some strong one base play, I think Tagan's micro and macro is better than that of Rith, so I have to give him the win, but with so little known about the players it could swing either way.

Australia vs Vietnam

Legionnaire.236 <Steppes of War>

Deathscythe.743

Filthy.362 <Lost Temple>

fantasio.474

sAint.213 <Delta Quardrant>

beethoven.315

GLaDe.118 <Scrap Station>

thanhnd.514
Australia are easily favourites here – GlaDe and Filthy are ******* beasts at this game, and Leg and sAint are strong players (im glad to see Leg playing a lot more in retail!). Sadly I don't think Vietnam will take a map, but I've been surprised before so we can only wait and see.
Legionnaire

vs Deathscythe (Z)
SPOILER: Click to view
Leg's play has really impressed me so far. When I watched him in the beta it was apparent that he hadn't been playing much (I'm sure deL can vouch for this, 'the little orb things'), but now that he's playing more I can see he's becoming more comfortable and his crisis control and macro are top notch. Deathscythe has only played in 1 series in the league so far (winning a ZvZ 2-1), and his play wasn't too flash. For starters, they played all 3 games on Metalopolis for some reason – apparently they didn't realize that the loser is meant to pick the next map, but he did make some small adjustments from game to game, lucky for him his opponent didn't really alter his playstyle too radically. Leg should take this 2-0.
Filthy

vs fantasio
SPOILER: Click to view
Filthy rips people's hearts out of their chest cavity if they stare in amazement at his beard for too long. I predict fantasio will stare at his beard too long. Fantasio is 1-4 in the league so far, his 1 win coming as a result of his opponent losing the game, rather than fantasio winning it. His multitasking was OK – but Filthy is a beast, and will win this. I literally mean a beast, the character in 'Beauty and the beast' was based on Filthy. The beauty of course was deL.
sAint

vs Beethoven
SPOILER: Click to view
sAint is making his league debut here against Beethoven (It had been a wonderful evening and what I needed now, to give it the perfect ending, was a little of the Ludwig Van). I haven't seen sAint play at all, suffice to say he must have some skill to be on the team alongside GlaDe, Filthy and Legionnaire. Beethoven has played 2 matches, with a 2-3 record (both PvT), and played decently, although building zealots and colossuses (I refuse to call them colossi!) against banshees doesn't work too well. Sure that's a cheap poke at him, and probably undeservedly, because he isn't too bad, but suffers from some bad decision making at times (flying a mothership into 10 vikings – woopsie). I think sAint should win this one without too much trouble.
GlaDe

vs thanhnd
SPOILER: Click to view
GlaDe is the super super super favourite in this match, and for good reason. Arguably the best zerg in the region, GlaDe has been doing well in every tournament he's been a part of (apart from the Blizzcon qualifiers sadface). He's recently been playing a lot of Terran as well (T op etc etc), so he might switch to play TvZ for this match. Even if he plays ZvZ, I don't think thanhnd will be able to do a thing. Thanhnd is 2-2 in league matches, his two losses in a pretty poor ZvZ performance, while GlaDe is undefeated at 4-0. I predict he'll be making that 6-0 on Sunday, regardless of the race he picks.

Thailand vs New Zealand
At the time of writing, Thailand and New Zealand hadn't sent their lineups in, so it's a little hard to pick who I think will win obviously. I think New Zealand might take this, but I think Thailand can send some good players and take some maps. I wouldn't be surprised to see this go to an Ace – all I know is if Thailand loses theres gonna be some ladyboy jokes, and if New Zealand loses there's gonna be a lot of sheep jokes.
