WD fired this one over and for an old codger like me is EZ PZ
WD are celebrating 40 years in business and this is one of the celebration promos, here is an extract from the facebook promo which can be found here:
www.facebook.com/pages/Western-Digital-Australia/137782219574860
"In line with Western Digital's 40th anniversary, WD in Australia is showcasing a unique collection of WD products compiled in Australia over the past decade (see photos)!
The collection begins with a 40 GB hard drive manufactured back in 2000, an ancient time in the fast-paced world of technology - a time when everyone still used floppy discs, had dial-up internet and owning a Discman was pretty cool. But what about predecessors to the 40 GB model, the 20 GB hard drive, the 15 GB hard drive, the 10 GB hard drive or perhaps even the 8 GB hard drive?
To complete the commemorative collection, the search is now on for an even older model - Australia's oldest working WD model! More specifically we are looking for any working WD drives below 40GB, including any rare but functional 20GB, 15GB, 10GB, 8GB or older WD drives.
To enter this promotion:
The first person to surrender one given WD hard drive model with capacity less than 40 GB can "trade it" in for their choice of the latest 2 Terabyte WD Caviar Black hard drive or a 2 Terabyte My Book® 3.0. See notes for terms and conditions."
I found 8 20gb hard drives on the shelf at the office im going to the storage shed to see if i can find some of those old 386 computers :>
Be kinda cool to see who on CG can dredge up the oldest WD hard disk aswell and take a pic and post it up here......maybe there will be a prize

(you must take photo of hard drive sitting on todays paper for you chets)
