As some of you may or may not know, LADDER LOCK is tonight and the LADDER RULES have been updated.

The top 8 teams will play in the CyberGamer - Open Finals. The top 8 are invited to the Cybergamer - Invite league. If you do not wish to compete in CG-I, please let us know ASAP.

The teams who have made CyberGamer - Open FINALS are as follows:

Teams have approximately five days (No longer) to decide between each other on what time and date they would be willing to play. Once teams have decided times and dates, they need to PM an admin on either CyberGamer and or private message them on Bored Aussies / Garena.

Additionally we will be running a Fight for Your Invite, for teams that we feel deserve a chance at making CG-I:

The FFYI will be two groups of 4, only one team from each group will make it.

Each Group will be 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. The winners of each will then play each other, this winner will then be invited to CG-I. Thus one team from each of the groups will end up being invited to CG-I. We are sorry if your team did not make the FFYI. If any of these teams do not wish to play in the FFYI for a chance to make CG-I, please let us know ASAP and we will replace you.

CG-I is a 10 team league that will run for 9 weeks (Details of league format closer to date). If your team is not stable enough to last an entire season without forfeiting any matches, please do not accept the invite. Additionally any team that forfeits in the first TWO weeks of the league will be replaced with another team at our choice. The "replacing" team will take their score and continue on. Any team that drops out after WEEK THREE, will have all of their matches (past and future) become 0-0 draws.

Lastly, at the end of the season the top two teams from the CG-O ladder will move up to CG-I for the next season, similarly the bottom two from CG-I will drop to the CG-O ladder (assuming no CG-I teams disband). We also may consider adding a CyberGamer - Main League below the CG-I league for season two if there is enough competition to warrant this, this would mean that 3rd-12th on CG-O ladder would all move up to the CG-M League.

Out of interest, why do the 'CyberGamer - Open Finals' rankings seem to be subjectively ranked as opposed to using the end of season CGo 5v5 DotA Ladder rankings? Surely using the actual rankings from the ladder for the finals is more proper?

And as far as the teams selected for FFYI are concerned, 'Top Notch' basically played no games on the ladder and were founded on the day that the ladder was supposed to closed. While the players in that team are known to be very good, there's definitely more 'deserving' teams who could have been given a chance.

Anyway this is overall a very well run league and the expansions in the future sound very promising, but yeah those two things didn't make any sense to me.

CGi is invite if a team joins who is at a high playing level its pretty natural to assume they may be invited to compete in the pro league (CG-i)

Looking forward to some quality matches Gamestah standing by with our microphones....going to be throwing them at DOTA all day (project) and Dota all Day (D4D) to start with
