Hey guys I'm looking to buy myself some custom speaker tags but the thing is I'm terrible at photoshop and wouldn't know where to start with anything graphic design wise. So I thought I'd do what anyone else would do on CG and make a request for someone with some graphics skills to design me some speaker tags.

Now I know lots of people request signatures, avatars and the like in the graphics forum and people have mixed results with making these threads. To get around this I thought I'd offer a reward for the person who designs the speaker tags I use.

The requirements for the design is it'll simply need "Gomer" on each tag. I'll leave choosing the font and style up to you guys as you have the skills and experience with this stuff and not me. I do however like a simplistic approach. I've been trolling the astro forums and found a couple of speaker tag designs that I like. I don't mind there paint splatter background used in the below design or this blue swirl (can't think of a better word) design and even the white grid background with a splattered emblem with name underneath is nice.



Feel free to design anything you wish for the speaker tags. The only real requirement is it includes my alias - Gomer.

You can find all the information you need for how to design a speaker tag on the astro website here. There is a .psd template (Click Me) that should be used when creating tags and an introduction guideline and also a guide. The guide states that the image should be greater than 150 DPI so it doesn't turn out blurry when printing and also the images shouldn't be too large resolution wise (I assume they shouldn't be larger than the template given or smaller either).

I'll be giving the winner $25 to the person who designs the speaker tags that I use. Also please include a watermark or transparent text over the design which you submit. This is just insurance for so people don't steal your work. You can submit your work in this thread or via PM. Feel free to comment on other peoples work and offer some CnC.

If the winner wishes to be paid with MSP or Xbox Live subscription of similar value to $25 (i.e. 1500 MSP or 3 months gold) that can be arranged. I am able to pay via paypal or bank transfer. I'm also willing to offer 6 months premium membership instead of the money. Can negotiate other prizes if needed (e.g. products from online store or what not).

Keep in mind I have a standard black A40 headset.

Had a look at your closed shop Reniqz and there is some good work.

Also note that the finished product will have a matted finish and that any plain black areas will be indented on the tag surface as the paint is thick. Can create a nice 3D effect with text and patterns.

Do you want a varity different styles/designs of tags or just one style/design?

i just came up with this pretty quickly, i will post some more for you because i feel like doing more designs because its fun hahah you probably wont like it but here it is -

Maybe try do your own design type thing all you did was go and virually copy the background and the colours and then used a tacky text design um yer i'll just go design mine now...

yeh thats what im doing now, i just used my splatter brushes because i felt like it and i wanted to see how it would turn out.

Just a note for all you guys designing: Most brushes are lower than 150Dpi...Better off using shapes IMO.

Yes premium or any other product that can be purchased online is up for grabs, as long as its around or below the $25 mark.
