Thanks to SoundBlaster and CyberGamer we would like to officialy announce the opening of CyberGamer's QuakeLive Champions League and Open Ladder! Weeks of background preperation and work has been put into place to make sure you, the player, can experience the pinnacle of competitive QuakeLive amongst other Top Tier players. Each week the Champions League will see all its participants face off against one and other for four intense weeks of competition after which in week five, only those deemed the best of the best will face off in the finals for over $750 in cash and prizes.
Those newer to the game will even get their chance to shine when we see who among the up and coming wants their name known in the Open Ladder. $50 and a headset is yours for the taking if you can prove yourself worthy - will you be the one to take it home?
Join the Ladder, sign ups are still open!
But it doesn't stop there! Oh no: Each week will see the QuakeLive Match of the Week, played between the biggest contenders of the round. For week one we'll bring you
rep vs

Important dates:
The Champions League Schedule can be found here
The Open Ladder closes on the 7th of February
A few reminders for those participating in either the Ladder or Champions League:
- Please familiarize yourselves with the rules of the tournament, they can be found
here (
Also keep in mind that the Ladder and Champions league are using different map pools to cater to non-Pro/Premium players).
- As this is a Best of 3 competition, we will be using a Ban-Ban-Pick-Pick system with the left over map being used for Tie Breakers (
With the exception of free players within the Ladder, these players will automatically use their first drop for the map Aerowalk).
- We are currently working on the ability to add your QuakeLive alias and your account status to your CG Profile. We'll send out a mass PM when this is implemented and we will require you to fill it out.
Champions League players please read below!
These are each divisions Match Days. Match days are basically a safety net in case both players cannot agree to a time together they must play on the Match Day time. In each week the first round will always be on your divisions nominated match day. (unless you organise a reschedule) Your second will be on Sunday @ 8:30. Please check your divisions schedules for easier to read details. Obviously some players in each division cannot play a specific day that has been nominated- you must reschedule your match each week.
To send challenge times please click on 'notifications' down the bottom and check the title of the page to see who you are challenging first. This week you cannot set challenge times before wednesday because of the league just going live. If you want to play on mon/tues please organise it with your opponent through PM. Saturday is considered an extra.
