Tune in
In 2010, 4Seasons Gaming in association with ArchaicMSI sent one lucky Australian gamer overseas to America to compete in a nationally recognised event. The flight was dreary and long, the nights felt like days and days like nights. With little-to-no warm-up time, our champion, Daniel "Dandaking" De Sousa, rose to the competition, defeating a collective of players from EU and US, included the 3rd best American player at the tournament. At this time, we broke all of our viewer records and website page hits and the atmosphere and feeling of appreciation was at an all time high. Sure, it may be Quake, and you may have never played, but you don't need to have played to be able to understand the basics of visible quick reflexes, fast-paced action and incredibly tense situations.

Craig founder of Archaic.MSI
I love watching Quake duels because of the fast paced action! Players have to make split-second decisions about where to move and whether engaging in battle is a good idea or not; it's a great back-and-forth battle that only takes 10 minutes!

If you have never watched a game before, we ask you to put yourself in our shoes for 10 minutes. This was "possibly" our Champions final match against America's number #2, Tim "DaHanG" Fogarty. Dan had already used his double elimination life line and he needed this win to make it into the top 6 out of 30 internationally pooled players.

Engage
Our interest has always been to develop the best environments and atmospheres for players and spectators to enjoy our competitions. We run betting competitions for our matches to ensure spectator only or non-participative-competitive quakers still have fun within our community. We allow for interactive web chat and of course our message boards. We don't expect anybody unfamiliar with the game to have much to talk about, but it makes the game so much more exciting when you watch it in the company of enthusiastic spectators! Sometimes special things in the game happen and players love to talk about them as they happen. We have always enjoyed staying up late into the morning as a community to watch American or European games.

Contribute
Unfortunately, big sponsors do not see much value in Australian/New Zealand representatives, so it's our mission to prove ourselves worthy on our own. We are attempting to raise as much money as we can to support a new Champion to fly to Europe in early 2011 to compete at yet another World Tournament on behalf of Australia and New Zealand. You might think we are money hungry merchants, but the truth is we've always given back what we've received (prize pool here). We don't expect anybody to be a hero and finance what we can fund raise, and so our goals aren't that unrealistic if you think about it. If you do watch a few games and you think to yourself, "yeah, i'd watch that again", or "yeah, i'd watch more" then keep us going. Our target goal is to raise a final $1000 to make the financial barriers a little easier for our player (a little bit of spending money, etc). To put it In perspective, if we received 200 individual donations of $5 each, we would reach our target perfectly. We have received a substantial amount already of just under $1300, which almost covers the flights.

i wasn't even stage shy they were using a desk that was designed for one person, and they wanted to fit three. I was told it was just going to be me and another so I was waiting for one of them to get up and leave but they tried to fit me inbetween and sit down on the floor or kneel.. until one of the other guys whispered in one of their ears "i meant like you get up and mick sitdown" haha was good fun tho.. pitty it was the only game I got to cast.. but in the end I didn't even watch the finals cos i was so tired from jetlag
