Initially many players were confused about how to even begin the challenge process ... And who could blame them! There's a lot to take in on the Ladder page and the Challenge button is not terribly obvious amongst the clutter. As stated just under the Ladder's introduction, "You can challenge teams 50% of your rank above you plus 3 positions". The easiest way to find who you can challenge is by looking for those players who's Status is currently set to "Free". Here's an example of a player who you can challenge:
Once you have hit the Challenge button you will be presented with a new screen that will offer you a range of tick boxes: These boxes will correspond to days and times you as the challenger are available to play your match. As stated below, you must select at-least 3 different days and 4 different times. Try to be as flexible as possible with these times as the Defender only has 48 hours to accept and you don't want to only present him/her with times that are unfeasible (
In the event that the time the challenger would like to play is not present in the list or the Defender is unable to choose from the times presented, players should come to a resolution through PM's or the match listings private chat; should this occur please attempt to complete the match ASAP and post the results for a quick resolution). Here is an example of the time selection screen:
After selecting the required amount of days and times you will be given the option to Save at the bottom right
(Under the written guide). Once this is pressed it will essentially submit the Challenge and it will now be up to the defender to select from your chosen times. This is what the time selection screen looks like after you have made your choices:
The Challenge has now been generated and you will be shown the "Match Page": Here you will find all the pre-match information such as messages between the players, each players stats such as win/loss record, the date the challenge was made and most importantly the days and times chosen by the challenger for the match. The challenger will simply be shown what he picked on the previous screen, the defender will be given a drop down box to select what time the match will be played:
Once the match time is set it is now simply a case of playing the match. When completed both players are to return to the match page and submit their results
(If both players do not do this, the match will not resolve and thus enter into "Dispute" until an admin manually resolves it based on the evidence of who won). Further challenges cannot be made until the match is resolved, so it's in everyones best interest if the players enter the results straight after the match.
