As the patches released so far have been very large and replace significant amounts of the game (GB's) I'd advise not downloading it until it's ready - as you may have to download a few more GB in patches if you do..

America's Army 3 is FREE!
The simplest way to download AA3 is from Steam

The game does not require installation and can be run straight from the folder, however you may need to install the latest DirectX, which can be found in your AA3 steam download folder:
\Steam\steamapps\common\america's army 3\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe

You can make your own shortcut to run AA3 by linking to:
\Steam\steamapps\common\america's army 3\Binaries\AA3Game.exe
