Elysium Internet Cafe and CyberGamer present the 2nd Brisbane Heroes of Newerth (HoN) LAN Tournament. It will run on Sunday the 16th of January from 9am till 10pm. It will cost all individuals $25, $15 for your usage of the computer facilities and $10 towards the total cash prize ($50 per team). We hope to get a lot of teams and players involved in the tournament. Registrations are now open and you can register a team in this thread and/or by phoning Elysium Internet Cafe at 07 3162 3135. Pre payment is recommended but not required. You can do this by visiting the Internet Cafe at Level 1, 279 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD , 4006 (Australia) and getting your teams name added to the list.

Cash Prizes will be split 60/30/10 (%) and additional prizes will be announced in the future. The additional prizes include instore credit and sponsor prizes. Feel free to contact me on cybergamer (private message) or call Elysium with any questions that you may have. You can also respond to this thread and I will endeavour the respond as quick as possible. Players of all skill levels should join up and have fun with a day of HoN. If you do not have a team feel free to come along and make one with a bunch of people in a similar position.

There is an event page which can be found here. But I would prefer if you post up your teams in this thread and tick attending in the event page.

Cool! I'm not really up to date with HoN. Have they released a LAN version yet?

My only concern would be having users all connecting online and to many out bound connections making everyone lag

Ah great, that will make it 100000x better.

Does it require a dedicated server? Or can it run off client PC's easily?

We're working on a few of the final details regarding capabilities. The cafe has 3 ADSL 2+ connections so there shouldn't be too much to worry about. We're looking at the LAN options as well.

There is definitely going to be a tournament on the 16th, that's for sure now so get you're mates together and register a team!

Hey Guys,

Just an update, Coke Cola has come through with a Mother Energy Drink sponsorship for the comp. So every player will receive some mother on the day.

Intriguing. I haven't played (properly) for a couple of months though and I'd need to find a team >.>

If anyone is keen to get a random team together and practice a bit beforehand I'd be up for it.
