Hi guys,
Around 1-2 years ago I purchased some gear to set up and build my new rig.
Contents are
the Intel E8500 CPU
ATI radeon 4890HD Graphics card
EP45-UD3L Motherboard
4GB DDR2 RAM
and the Shaw 850W tri-fan powersupply (I know, don't hate on me.)

Anyway, I wanted it to first play css without lag or any type of performance interruption. Worked fine, as the months and eventually years past by, World at war and MW2 were released.
That's when the problems were first realised.
I've had problems being able to pretty much... move.
Its unbearable, with the computer I built I would have thought that it would pretty much play anything for the next 10 years.
Even trying it on the lowest settings possible doesn't help, its the same..

Then came along Black ops, being a COD fan i've purchased it anyway still knowing I had a problem. Iam now here asking for your help.

I've been thinking that it is most likely the psu, knowing that i've purchased a sad brand from MSY (used it for my old computer, didnt want to buy another one when I was in the line at MSY when I first purchased the computer, Clayton is usually packed and on a 35+ degree day, i really don't want to stand in there for too long.)

So now i've got my hands on a VANTEC ION2+ VAN-600N that will arrive in a couple days. Will that cure the problem, or will I still be the stationary one in Blackops watching everyone warp and skip past me.

Thanks!

Might be time for a format and clean install of windows.

May be viruses or just general programs hogging up resources in the background. Probably best to start fresh and make sure that whenever you install a program to use, it isn't going to be a resource hog in the background.

that rig should be able to handle BO at decent res. Should hold 70fps. I suggest clean install and maybe OC that CPU a little..

Your telling me to purchase a new pc when your about to spend 16Grand on a new pc? No one with a sense of mind would waste that much when you have a wife and kids as you claim in your thread, you give up things when you get older and mature, you sacrifice things for your family. I think this is a real time to quote all those infamous world of warcraft children, "Get a Life".

I asked for help or for some assistance, you need a reality check buddy.
I was looking for assistance from someone who was wiling to offer some help, if someone can help me i would really appreciate it.

I LOLLED

default xbox platform, say no more

wont stop the fact that what you have is quite outdated these days. A new system now (or on the next month or when some new stuff comes out) will last longer and run far better

Does CS:S still work ok? It'd be worth checking because then you could easily tell if something has fried. It may just be a matter of reformatting your pc / reinstalling windows.
