Hey guys,

Today I was wondering what your views on World of Warcraft were? Personally i believe there is a stereotype that all WoW players have "no lives" and no social life. I believe this is strongly false as most WoW players play as much WoW as the average CoD players plays CoD. Also, on both games, there are people who play it excessively and have no social life, but people from both games have this, not just one. What do you think?

Yeah man COD player's or Xbox gamer's in general will spend 6hours + on the Box , the same as a WOW player. Its just easier to talk shit to a WOW player because it seem's more g33ky to play in the world of azaroth with mystical creatuers ,compared to just shooting towlheads and yellow belly's.
But at the end of the day , we spend the same amount of time playing.
Just like when BO came out , there were so many of xbox gamer's having sleepless night's just to get to the next prestige b4 your friends. AKA Vinsane or DvS Cynic LOL
So yeah i think there is a sterotype out there.

WoW players have always been stereotyped like that, and probably always will.
It's just how it is mate, you're not going to change it.

cod g33ks get bagged by pub losers and WoW players get bagged by the world. The difference is as Raikou put it, cod isnt a magical world with dwarfs and spells.

A game is a game, have mates who play it, personally never tried it, but they are normal blokes. I probably play more box than they play WoW, just another type of game. Some people like pick up and play FPS and others like a game where your constantly working on the same character like an RPG.

How you can judge someone by a video game they play is beyond me. However it is a very addictive game that has a reputation of attracting some interesting people, although it is a very grossly over used stereotype to suggest that anyone who has played the game is like our good friend in the red shirt from Blizzcon 2010.
