Hello boys and girls, I have currently decided to come to the darkside for personal issues ..

Now I have my xbox setup to my pc monitor using a HDMI VGA cable ..

When i am to buy my ps3 what cable will i need to link the ps3 to the monitor ..
ps: i have the 3.5mm for audio output from speakers, just need the video output cable ?

Well me personally I don't use a monitor yet, so I can't help you out haha

But yeah most players who do use one come on around 7pm-late period, but not this late.

What teams have you been in for Xbox anyway? You looking to play SND?

If you use the HDMI in the back of the xbox it should be the same for PS3

ye was gonna say wouldnt it just be hdmi aswell. ps3 has hdmi capabilities

Yeah it's the same for ps3. Either a HDMI-DVI cable or HDMI-VGA cable does the trick.

This usually doesn't work for sound, though you probably already knew that.

P.S If you're using the same monitor for both the xbox and ps3, what
you could do is use VGA for your xbox and DVI for your ps3, so as you can just press the 'source' button on your monitor as oppose to unplugging them each time you switch.

Same cable will work. PS3 will automatically pick up resolution and pick the best one for your hardware.

If like me, you run sound seperately through red/white, you will need to select audio source output to that connection.
