I have deleted pb folder. reinstalled pbsetup.exe and run it. I have manually dl the files from evenbalance. I have copied and pasted a working pb folder from another computer running windows 7 rc and yet when I join any pb enabled server (the ones with a shield in the game browser) I get a kick with a message that pb is either not up to date or not enabled?? (yes it is enabled)

Has anyone else encountered this and found a fix?

I have had a ticket in with evenbalance for 30 hours....

Haven't encountered this problem yet.. might have to wait till tomorrow for all the yanks to wake up and find a solution..

i had this same problem in aa2 i deleted my ini file and it reset back to default and i ticked the punkbuster and joined a server and worked... find "AA3Engine.ini" delete it and load your game back up tick the punkbuster box and try join a server then, seems odd to just delete ini file but since it says punkbuster hasnt been activated the ini file constantly switches back to untick wierd but try it and see if that works.

havent had this problems for aa3 but seems like the same problem in 2 so meh.

This was the response from Evenbalance just now:

"Even Balance does not officially support beta or release candidate operating systems. Once Windows 7 is released commercially, full PunkBuster support is planned."

So I told them thanks very much lol.

maybe **** windows 7 off for now?
and drop back to xp or vista until it's release.

My PB is working fine with Win 7 RC. Do you have User Account Control on Seppy?
EvenBalance are a mob of fools.. the release candidates are release for the specific purpose of companies testing out their software with it on a large scale to find bugs..

Agreed. ^ Win7 works fine, I'm fairly sure as far as PB's concerned it's the same as Vista.

I ran the pbsvc.exe found in the binaries folder. I also updated to the new patch. I'm not sure which one did the job, but I just played an hour on a pb enabled server.

This things gonna be in Beta for a long time isn't it lol.

Forcing the vista drivers to install on windows 7 works fine.. never going back to vista or xp again!

I'm waiting on windows 7 to come out, can't be ****ed betaing it up.
