Dearest CyberGam'ians,
I just wanted to give everyone a little bit of an update on whats going on with esportmasters.com.au

Unfortunately I must say we are a little late for the 1st of January, realizing that we had set the date a little too early no doubt has been a tiny setback but all in all things are progressing one step at a time.

No excuse we are late, but none the less we are doing our best to move forward and get the site ready as soon as we can without any issues or problems for our initial release!

It has been a long wait and many many hours of work to make sure we can catch up with ourselves.
We have been slightly delayed which is unfortunate but rest assured, through hard work and determination I am certain that regardless of our late launch esportmasters.com.au will accomplish what we have set out to do, even if it does take a little longer than we had hoped for!

On another note:

Our wonderful staff have been hard at work planning and organizing some little competitions and happenings to get us started once we go live.

We are hoping get some more Exhibition matches, One Day competitions, Leagues and other Tournaments underway as soon as we can. In the mean time we will be working on the website as much as possible to make sure we are ready for when the time comes.

So, A little over two weeks ago esportmasters counter-strike: source held an exhibition match with a very interesting result. Callers vs Fraggers - This match was great to watch, 10 of the best and all in their element. All on the team that defines what they do best! In the end it was the callers who won and no doubt they definitely know how to play this game not just with their minds but with the utmost precision as well.

Many thanks to all of the people who helped this event run ever so smoothly, and of course the guys themselves for playing this incredible match.

We hope to see a few more of these events popping up around the place and it is only a matter of time before we can get you all involved as well.

Back to development:
For those of you wondering who has been developing and creating esportmasters, I would like to introduce
DanielB! He has been the brains behind the creation, Coding the site completely from scratch which in turn I believe deserves a round of applause. We have come from zip to the beginning of esportmasters soon to be completed with forums, news, media, individual platforms for each game!

Unfortunately on our immediate release the ladder system and other competitive aspects will not be available, instead they will be released shortly after just to make sure we can run and provide the competitions the best we possibly can with a couple of extras to make it more fun!

In the mean time, sit tight and wish us luck! We are hoping to make an appearance soon, no official dates set but regardless of when we are planning to hold a few doodads here and there along the way so keep and eye out!

Please try to keep the thread constructive, The whole point of esports is to come together and have some fun! esportmasters.com.au is trying to expand the community which is forever growing larger and more competitive. We hope to join the army of communities out there such as CyberGamer, CEVO, GotGames, Sublime who provide to you a service in which you can all interact and call home together!

We have undergone some ddos attacks, but further more we endeavoured to complete more of the website in which we have decided not to turn back from since we started to expand upon it.

As stated above, no official released date has been put forward as of yet.

www.esportmasters.com

instead this company is owned and run by Michael Woodz from B1G league.
the above url is not a competition website, as far as I am aware his website is an
esports media website.

The site is projected to be released by the end of the month, but not official date will be set until we are 100% certain.

Please refrain from turning this discussion into a debate about URL's. It has been discussed many many times before and with no resolve because of the many different opinions.

To summaries the URL's and clear everything up I will edit the secondary post in this thread.

Thanks

It should be noted that generally an "esports community" for example like cybergamer runs all of the above in some shape or form. I would like to applaud you for stating the obvious to everyone in that regard.

In relation to your statement "exactly the same as cybergamer" but YES if you would like to compare the above activities, competitions and/ or tournaments although in relation to how they will run, when and by whom is different.

Your statement is quite broad in a sense that you could compare the quote to say a community such as CEVO or Sublime and it could very well have the same effect, with the difference that we are a new community starting out whereas these communities are already somewhat established.

This being taken into account they all started from somewhere and I believe comparing our community to them is generally the same as comparing other communities to cybergamer.

This should be looked upon in a sense that although these communities hold similar goals and very much may hold competitions and tournaments in a similar fashion.

In one way or another they all have their own unique style. Which is the main point I would like to get across. YES similar but in our own way different!

Again I invite everyone to have a chat with me if you have something further to say, details for contacting myself are in the original post.

Thanks,
Brenton

You can most likely answer that question yourself b0bftw but here is a question for you, which might help you answer your own!

What makes cybergamer.com.au, gotgames.com.au, sublimepcgear.com.au, esl.eu, cevo.com and all the other esports communities around the world different?

I think you will find that there are many features offered by all that are the same, if you can spot the differences come back and let me know what they are.

In one way or another you will always be able to say that something is the same, and I wont take it away from you that is a fact. The word different in the sentence you outlined is to provide the general sense that - yes we are an esports community and 90% of all esports communities offer around about the same things the difference is how they are run.

Specifically the functionality of the website is to provide a similar service as the existing communities. The differences at first may not appear obvious but as the site further develops you will see that its not what the site provides, it is how it is provided.

The things that will make our site different to cybergamer specifically is not the content, competitions or generic features. But instead how they are seen and interacted with throughout the website.

These features include:
Media streaming, News, Interviews and Reviews, Player recruitment and Team formation systems allowing players to create their own looking for team or team looking for players profile. This feature will also stretch into players looking for someone to practice with and other avenues of use.

Obviously there are many systems similar already in todays common communities but how are they all different to one another? and what makes them unique? The way they are presented to you. Which is what esportmasters.com.au has a plan to do!

I feel as though I could most definitely gone into some more detail, but whats left to reveal if you already know?

Wait for the launch of the website and you will see all you need to compare us with other websites, you will then be able to pick every similarity and/ or discrepancies between us all and post as many comments as you like on the matter.

Any further questions, please contact me via email on:
