Was just wanting to know the interest of the Xbox community that would attend a Sydney Lan sometime late Feb - late March. Games that will be played will be BO. Maybe Reach, FIFA and SF.

Basically the same as Go-Solid but in Sydney and everything you need to play will be supplied (Xbox, Monitor and Game) except for headsets. Food and drinks will be available at the venue.

So post if you would come, if there were to be a Sydney LAN and for what game.

-Attendees need to bring their Hard Drive with their accounts.
-Attendees will need to bring a headset for sound otherwise you'll have to deal with TV speakers
-Attendees need to bring Black Ops (only have 3 copies)

-Looking at 12 & 13th March for the date. It's a weekend and 2 day event... not yet confirmed and set in stone

- Accommodation for interstate and far away teams will be available at the LAN so you can sleep with the Xboxs and play all night (drinks will be provided for some drunk geek action lolol kinect = fun)

- $800 cold hard fragging cash confirmed for the winning team (yes, 800 and no I won't be doing a GotGames and make up some bullshit to bait people into playing and saying winning team gets $1 <3)

Hi Jip, just a few questions...

Who are you pitching this at? (Sydney-siders/casual/competitive)
Will it be on holidays? (for interstators and school-goers)
Where would the venue be?
Will it be in conjunction with another lan organisation?
Will there be prizes?

I am probably asking this a little premature (never not), but the above question posed is a little vague.

1. All Xbox Players. Competitive for COD. If there's Halo then competitive Halo. Fifa and SF are fillers for people that come and watch or get knocked out etc. Depending on interest there might be just a casual comp for COD and Halo for those that don't have a team eg. FFA

2. Didn't think of that but I was thinking late Feb/March but that can be changed if enough interstate players want to compete so we can accompany them. It will be on a weekend starting on a Saturday though.

3. Not sure yet but it will be near the city. Furthest will be 15mins train trip from the CBD.

5. Entry fee will contribute to cash prizes for the winners. Other prizes like lucky door or MVP will be provided as well so everyone has a chance of winning something
