What's the deal with that?

When it was a bunch of crying hardcore wannabes and cut nerds it was pretty amusing, but when complete randoms that I've never ever played with before start giving me shit coz they 'heard' I was a hacker, that gets a bit irritating.

Then when people on my team start getting told this shit, well, that's not cool.

I started playing with you almost 2 years ago (since the dawn of epic fail - man I miss that group), and I certainly have noticed that the better you got, the more I heard people call shit on you. I think it's just now that you are playing comp you are getting even more well known its kinda like people don't expect you to be as good as (or even better than) people who have been playing comp for years, even though over the years nearly everytime I've seen you on steam you have been playing L4D

yesterday I was watching you, someone was rambling on about you and hax. I wasn't really paying much attention but all I could do is just say haha yeah whatever you say. It's people who haven't been playing this game as long as you who can't work out how to play like you do. There is no explanation on how you do things in their mind so it must be artificial. It's like how 2 years ago I would have died as a hunter from a headshot by a pistol crouching 10cm in front of the survivor and be like wtf that is not humanly possible. It's not hax anymore because I've figured out how it works and have been able to do it a couple of times too haha . Then it's those baddies who are in clans and playing in the tournament, they are the "elite" players in their circle of minions so obviously they know the ins and outs of this game better than anyone in the world so whatever they say must be true and that's how the word spreads.

You are legit. I've seen you become as good as you are over a long time, and I've seen you having bad days. You've played irl in front of friends we both know and attend LANs. There's nowhere I can see where you have amazingly become so good overnight that has ever made me suspicious. It has all been over time. You're a natural at gaming. I even remember when I saw you doing some wall pouncing and kai jumping stuff that I had only seen the top comp players do at that stage. It was amazing and I wondered how the hell you learnt to do that. You are too aware of everything that goes on in this game. Hackers just spray and kill. These other people just don't have a clue.

Definitely supporting Herb Burger here. Don't call him a hacker just cause you feel bad when he owns you, just RQ and STFU like everyone else.

He has been playing for a long time, at least all the decent L4D 1/2 players should know better.

It's brave of you Herb to make this thread, as some of the accusations had been passed on to me too. However, no one has disputed a match or anything, so I wouldn't be taking it as anything more than a compliment, yet.

I'm not 100% convinced that you aim-bot.
I will admit though, that you aren't a fluent player.
Some days you can't hit a thing, some days... You don't miss a thing.
Which to me brings up the question of "Why" that is.
I'm not going to jump to any conclusions, but the demo i have puts me on the road of thinking that you do.
I sent this demo to SA and Davo so you will have to ask them what they think as well.
I'm interested to see what other people have to say about your thread.

It's all just suspicion for now.

Ask for every demo from you or something lol ^_^
i wouldn't worry about it for now though, Just play/pug/scrim until something is disputed or somebody is really convinced that you hack.

Perhaps it's called being human? The time of the day, the mood he is in, the amount of grease on his mousepad and how well his computer and network is running can all play a part in that.
This is another thing I want to mention. You would never accuse SA of hacking because you know he is up there and a darn good player. Herb has been playing just as long, so why can't he be a good player too? If he started playing comp back when we invited him when I started, he would no doubt be playing in a top clan right now. So he started late in the comp scene, that means he can't have the same level of skill? He was miles ahead of alot of comp players when all he did was play pubs. He knew strats and secrets about the game that the top players were only just learning from what I saw.

In Dragonz Clan we had terrorist get done for hacking. In First Aid we had Ethan get done for hacking. I've known herb as a L4D player for almost 2 years and I've had SA as one of our core 4. I've seen and have demos of those 2 hackers playing, and I've seen and have demos of those 2 great players playing. I have seen differences in all of their playing and I'm not convinced that herb is a cheater. Plus asians are so good at games.

taking it as a compliment is all good if occasionally ppl and pubs say you're hacking but i'm guessing it'd be pretty dam annoying to get accused regularly and even have people bitch to your team mates. And if you think he's a hacker find some proof and make sure you're sure before you go pointing fingers and shit.

Upload your demos from your dakka match and let's be done with it.
