The trend will most likely go dota2 > hon > LoL > dota..

The hardcore dota fans will head to dota2, as will most decent hon/LoL players. As for the moment, very little people ( that i know) play dota.. Most play hon and the tards play LoL. LoL is suited to the casual players, so if you enjoy playing easy, quick games that are more fight orientated rather then strategy/skill based, go for LoL.. HoN is a remake of dota, that took its core, and made some changes.

and added in about 5 heroes that have the ability to do everything.
